What would you all suggest to clean windows with? I have bad water spots on my rear window and cant get them off. I have tried the Armor All wipes and spray, and Windex. Any idea on a product or tips to get them off?

Also, any tips on getting water spots off paint? I just did a Clay Bar and Wax... still got spots all over.

I had the same problem, I used the flat top stove cleaner stuff and it got the hard water spots off that nothing else would... worked great still had to scrub a little but it got them off! Only used it on Windows though... wouldn't try it on the paint...

Hmmm, never would of thought of that. Will have to pick some up and try it. Any special cloth or just like a window cleaner type from walmart?

I had some dry flat top stove wipes and some cheap flat top stove cleaner I put the cleaner on the cleaner wipes and scrubbed, I guess paper towels would work if you don't want to buy wipes and the cleaner lol

So that stuff does work? I was not sure... I saw it at Walmart.

I picked up some "Cook Top: Glass Cook Top Cleaner" today with the matching scrub pads. Gonna try it out tomorrow. Got some Armor All window cleaner for now, but will pick up the Invisible glass after I get paid  stupid bills.

Stoner's Invisible Glass is about the best window cleaner out. Use it with a Waffle weave Microfiber and your good to go. The hard water spots can be hard to remove. Personally i would not be using oven cleaner on any part of my car. The over-spray alone can damage the paint. Try using some vinegar on rage and lay it on the window and let it soak in for a few then use the glass cleaner and see what you have. Try this link for more good advice and products.

Water and vinegar never worked for me, the flat top stove cleaner worked perfect, it's only glass dude, nobody said to wash your car with it. and there's no overspray, it's a milky liquid substance not a spray can.

yea i think hes just warning that oven cleaner can **** up your paint and it wouldnt be recommended... and i dont think ive seen the word "dude" used that much in so little space haha

Well for one, Im not stupid enough to use oven cleaner on my paint... so neither of you have to argue about that. The stuff I picked up is a gooey liqued so I can control where it goes. Plus this is made for the stoves that have glass on the top, so I dont see it messing up the glass on a car. If it doesnt work... that does not mean it would not work for someone else.

Sounds good guys. Like I said above i try not to suggest thing to people on forums because there are truly some brain dead people that take things and twist them. NOT saying any of you are that way it is just something i have seen over the years so i try to be very clear when suggesting things etc..

Clay bar will normally remove just about anything but hard water spots that have been etched in. Etched in water spots require something stronger. Sometimes they even require a acid wash. A product like this.

Finish Kare FK1 1119 / 883 Paint Decontamination System
