yeah its fun but im going to get back into working out and want to get a boat. We have a fishing boat but im wanting a ski boat. Farrah is wanting another horse too so there is just too many other things than to just throw it in a car. I agree that i like the car and like smoking most of the cars i pull up to but still. Alot of headache and worrying has come with it lately (whole tuner situation).
i think once you get it tuned you'll change your mind. usually once its tuned it won't have problems unless you change things.. like headers... lol

oh already been there. I too was a lil bit down over the headers.

now corect me if I am wrong but the reason I never considered headers is because I have read in a few places that they dont yeild any real gains? I know they make a better sound????? any info? I still dont think I will ever change mine but I like to know.

they say you can see some really good gains on a supercharged car. once i get my car put on a dyno and re-tuned i'll post the numbers up.

Hey BOB, I was looking on the Kenne Bell site looking for something and this sounded like what you were talking about. I am not 100% sure what all you have but here it is:

Then there's those "factory calibrated" mass air meters that do not use a chip or re-calibrated processor with oversize injectors. They unwittingly reduce the voltage signal to the mass air meter to compensate for the larger injectors at WOT but they neglect all the driveability issues. The result is over advancing timing, lean mixtures, detonation, surging, bucking etc.

Kinda sounds familiar?

**** headers woke my car up noticeably. I dont have before and afters since i was doing tunes through joe. But was a nice difference. I think the higher the boost the more it helps too. Or could of been because i have cams also.

Sounds like your o2 sensors to me. Headers shouldn't have hurt your tune that much. Do what jive said by checking the wires. If you haven't replaced them yet. Maybe now is a good time to do so. It's about time for me to change mine out since starting the car is getting a little harder to do now.

I dont know, the blurb I pasted ^ sounds like a good possibility unless he changed the stock one?

I have heard of people having problems after the swap. Luckily I didn't experience any of these, but my CEL didn't come on until about 150 miles after the install. So it will come.

Check everything twice. The basics of mechanics is that if it was working fine before you messed with it, it's probably something you did. Go over you vacuum lines, one of them may be disconnected, check your sensors, your MAF in particular. Just do a really thourough check through the engine bay.

EDIT: I installed MAC LT's on my car as well. It's not the header lilboostedpony (whose ironically not boosted??????)
soon to be. lol. i couldnt just do mylilpony.
so give it time and not worry about it :yes

this is good insight! i have a 90mm maf on it but it also has a mafia... so chances are its giving me shitty readings and causing it to run a little funny, and when i moved those o2 sensors it could have messed it up just enough more for it to confuse the hell out of the car.
