Like the title says it is time to paint the 97. I picked up a cobra front bumper and hood for it. I always loved the look of them. It is not trying to be a look alike. When i am done it will smoke a cobra. I have plains for the motor this winter that should put it in the 700hp range. I am going to document this as best i can for those of you that wounder what it takes to paint your own car. There is a lot to it.I got the hood and bumper in epoxy and the rest knocked down with 220 and ready for primer and sealer. I am doing all of this in my 2 car garage. I have some 2'x4' lights i dug out of a dumpster that i mounted on the side wall. I also have 5 500w flood lights and 4 8' ho lights. Is this enough light no you can never have enough light. I have a scroll cage fan mounted in the wall to draw out all the fumes but other then that it is a normal garage. My problem is i originally was going to do a paint job like this but now i am not sure.
But now i am thinking of something more like a black on the lower half and orange on the top so i don't have to paint my door jambs. Something like this but reverse.
maybe something like this but a flat black in the center of the hood.
I will post some progress pics later today.
