If you are referring to stock '02 GT wheels, they are 8" wide and much too thin for a 275 tire, so certainly not too wide :no

Please don't go anything over a 315 on a 10.5" wheel :yes

Jazzer :)

PS. Did someone say Sumi's :spank

I don't plan on it, i just know some on here have.

The stock 8's are so not too thin for the 275's... Maybe depending on what brand...I know bfg's say 8.5-11...but they look damn good... And I know they're prolly goona look a lil odd on the 10.5... But...I can't shell out an extra 400 on nitto's after shelling out 400 on rims

Nitto555Rs in 315/17/35 fit perfectly on the rim and in the wheel well. They stick good enough on the street without burning them out first. I previously had BFG KDs in 315/17/35 and these would rub the fender occasionally.

Bad idea. I've seen a 285 on a 10.5 in person, and it made me want to kill myself.

Save up, and do it right. What happens if one of the beads come loose on those tires? then your car will be ****ed, and you have to buy new rims AGAIN.

A waste to get rims and not fill it up. And like others mentioned, not exactly the best idea for it safety wise. And it looks retarded :tomato

Yall don't understand how fat the gforce sports are in that size...they are by far the widest in it's size...and they hook up the best... The only ones I haven't used is the nitto 555's...

Well finish using them up on current rims, save the 400 bucks. And by the time it is ready for new tires get new rims with it, and do it right. :yes

248? That's just tires right? And which tires? I won't run the sumitomo...by friend has them on his 10.5's and they don't provide a whole lot of grip
Funny I cut 2.0 60 Foots on my old 274-40s and my buddie cut 1.9 60 Foots on his 315s.Pretty damn good for a street tire for the money if you ask me

Girlfriends car. 17x10.5 Mustang Deep Dishes with 275-40-17s...
She is force to run this tire the added width of a 315 Might fit one day but needs some work on the sub frame for a larger tire right now its only got 1/4 of an inch between it and the tire.Any who here is the pic its not Horrible looking but no means so a 285 shouldn't be bad.

Here is a front shot.
17x9 -245-45-17s 17x10.5 -275-40-17

lol all you guys just don't know how to drive HAHAHA JK

but really. SUMI FTW. 1.8 sixty foot with them. they wore out pretty quick since i had to heat them to hook...but no faster than a nitto DR would and they are a whole lot cheaper
