Its a great tool. I got the PC from my girlfriend for christmas, and I used the cash from my folks to buy all the supplies. So all I bought out of my pocket was the MF Towels
I know; I've almost bought one numerous times. But when I go to get one I always find something else to put the money towards.

Zat, the sealant shouldn't be hard to remove. I let mine sit on the car overnight in 30 degree weather ina garage and it came off VERY easy. Maybe you over applied a little? Remember, thin coats are what gets the job done.

Ya, I think I applied it to thick. Live and learn... will apply the wax thin. Whats a good method for getting that wax out of the jar and on the foam pad good?

Tkae the foam applicator pad and put in you fingers. Put you thumb on the bottom so that it's barely just enough to get a grip. Drip the pad into the jar and swipe. Turn the pad 90 degrees and do the same. After the 1st or 2nd panel the pad should be good and saturated and you won't have to swipe so much,

Nothing left to say because you are completely wrong.. I know you haven't been around here long, maybe you're trying to fit in or something, but you seem to think you know everything about everything. We've got schooled about how you painted this and that, how you are a narcotics officer, etc etc. Give it a rest..

WAS a NARC...changed jobs when I moved a few years back. Too cold in the previous location. Now I work a different angle these days.

Well, it seems that some of you folks are rather...um...uneducated or misdirected and hold those believes rather tight. For the 'newbie' bit, funny. Post counts equal smarts on this board? Now THAT is joke of the day material right there.

And after seeing some of the REALLY silly stuff some of the posters on this thread have done previously in their posts (paint, detail, ahem...'upgrades') I find it laughable that someone would even bother questioning someone else's experience. Maybe they are just piggy backing on their buddies 'advice'

I was going to post up some of the rods that I've built as examples to my experience and where I've worked but I figured, there is no point...I'm outta here. Arguing on the internet is like ****ing for virginity and I'd rather do something else with my time. I wonder how often you folks run off with your own disinformation? Just because someone might have a different way from you, that surly does not mean that is the ONLY way of getting things done...but oh well...

So in other words, "I don't have a good argument to combat the facts that have been posted in front of me, so I am going to pull the card that arguing over the internet is pointless and you guys are stupid"

Give me a break dude, you need to seriously do some research if you think that wax corrects anything. Myself, along with others posted in this thread have a good reputation when it comes to detailing. I have proven my knowledge and helped tons of people, along with the others in this thread. You sir, are the one with the misinformation.

Never said anyone was stupid. If someone pulls the 'newbie' card or 'I've been here longer card' as if post counts somehow equal intelligence then I want no part of those shenanigans.

From reading other threads on this board, where there is some useful information for some folks to learn from, I see a trend of 'high and mighty' attitudes from certain members...it reminds me of a mass media outlet and not a automotive forum.

I'd like to begin by saying that detailing is a very subjective and opinionated subject. This following guide is only my opinion, nothing more and nothing less. So with that said, enjoy. :banana
First quote from one of those treads you posted. Seems rather poignant to current discussions...

And I do agree with you on one thing from your own thread...Meguiars #1 does indeed suck. Never seen so much dust from a singular product in my life.

I just noticed your from Georgia so surely you have heard of Atlanta Street Rods and Crusin Classics...

Where did I say anything about your post count? Where did I say anything about how long you have been here? I do not think I am "high and mighty" on these forums and I act the same way here that I do on forums where my post count is less than 500. You simply posted incorrect information, and when I called you out on it you got defensive. Post count does not equal intelligence, BUT considering someone has 6000+ TECHNICAL posts then they must know a little bit about something? I take great pride in my detailing, and most of the members on this board will agree with the fact that detailing is my specialty. I was not trying to degrade you in any way, I was simply letting you know that you are wrong. And then you try to negate facts, and get pissed when someone else tells you that you are wrong and all of the sudden we are teaming up on you.

That's correct, a lot of people have their own techniques and products that like to be used, but that does not negate the fact that WAX does not fix imperfections.

And no, I haven't.

Let's begin this by talking about this, you said we were misunderstanding you before, right? Yes you did. Well, guess who's lacking reading comprehension? I never said because you're new you don't know anything. I never said that at all. I said that maybe because you are new that you are trying really hard to fit in. I'm not even going to get into the other stuff because it's really not worth it. At this point it has been made very clear that you are the one with the high and almighty attitude because nearly every post that you have made has told people how you did this and that and how well you did it. So, let's not go down that road. We aren't high and mighty, we are only going to disprove false information. There are people who visit this section of the forum who have no idea about the first step of detailing. If we didn't say that's wrong than we'd have all of these guys going out and buying Cleaner Waxes from Autozone and asking us why the swirls came back so quickly...

It would be poignant if you were offering a differing point of view that was actually credible. Talking about buffing on peeling paint, talking about using a cleaner wax fixes surface imperfections, etc. I think you've shown everyone your credible. I didn't post the other threads in question. I know you quoted me but everything else is for Weems answer.

Something else I noticed from your thread when you bought your car...someone asked about removing scratches from glass. Here is my last piece of wisdom to share...take or leave it...no whining about 'my way is better'. It just what I use. Found it after they had a booth set up at the Turkey Rod Run a couple years ago. Amazing stuff. Figured I'd post it in a ruined thread than post it in yours and hear 'do your research' or 'your an idiot' comments.

Caswell Plating Company makes a glass polishing kit for about $30 or so bucks IIRC. Comes with the felt pad and Cerium Oxide Powder mix that makes glass shine like new and doesn't make a huge mess like other ideas/home remedies I've seen over the years. Dramatically cuts down on the time it takes to repair. Comes with enough to do several cars worth of glass.

Wow...seems I've hit a brick wall on this forum. I never said it was safe to buff peeling clearcoat or paint....but whatever. I got better things to do today like completing a complete tutorial on LED, white face gauges, and those reverse glow gauges and common problems and cures for them, specifically for my 83 but applies to other Fox models that someone asked me to work up. Figured since it keeps snowing here, I'll put my time to good use. Final part just arrived finally so I can complete it.

I'll just say Happy New Years to you fellas. Hope everyone has some fun and stays safe.

Lol have fun.

Sorry we disagree with you. Kind of childish to say "Oh, you think your right and don't agree with me, so I am leaving." Thats a good way to win an argument ;)

Cleaner Waxes cover things temporally man. Its not an opinon, its a fact... I am new to detailing and even I know that.
