Well, it has been a long time in the making but it is finaly here. I had baught a complete 3V while I was in Hawaii and had my brother drive over to pick it up in Oregon. I have been buying all the parts for the build but because of me not being stateside I havnt started the build. Well, I am all moved in here in Oregon and just picked the motor up from my brothers house. I will be posting in depth 3V build and swap thread soon for all you that have inquired. Here is a teaser pic :) Oh yah, there were a bunch of extras included that I didnt even know about. I got a set of Saleen pulleys, injectors, not sure on size yet, and BBK headers. Paid 1K for it all about 8 months ago on CL.

Got my forged rotating asembaly already. Need to tear this block down and send it off to the shop just to get cleaned and make sure it is all square. Just waiting on some ARP harware and I will get started on the shortblock

omg dude **** yes. this is gonna be a badass build, i'm subscribing.

ever since i went to longbeach this year i've wished i would have done a 3v swap on my car. there was a guy there with an 06 GT running a procharger P1SC, with a 3 core intercooler. pretty much a stock car minus exhaust and the procharger, i don't think it even had headers. he made 480 rwhp on 10psi! ****, i wish our heads would do that.. if he cammed that thing and upped the boost he would be wayyy up there putting down some serious hp. i'm gonna keep my eyes open for a 3v motor, if i can find one for cheap i wouldn't mind tearing the heads off, throwing some blower cams on those, and put them on my car.. they would probably make 100hp more than my stock 2v heads on the same amount of boost.

Sarting to wonder if this was out of a saleen with the Blower pulley and all the stuff it came with. Wish it had the blower in the deal, lol. Is there a way to track the block serial?

try e-mailing saleen, but seems strange you would get a intake with it and not just recieve a long block

Why swap heads, replace the whole thing and drop another 60lbs of dead weight. Keep an eye out they are there now that the 3V has been for a while. I paid a grand for it all. Heads alone are worth that much

Doesnt matter if it was considering saleens have the standard GT longblock. The intake doesnt say saleen though. The guy swaped for a sallen engine so he probably didnt want the stock pulley size

Well the KB will have to wait a littlee bit however, the engine will be done and in before spring. I am going to start on the teardown and inpect here this week. KB will probably come at the end of summer.

I would go turbo, screw SC's, turbo's are the most efficent power adder out there.

You get to keep that sweet cool running plastic 3v intake. I would love to do this, port the **** out the heads, bigs cams, mod the intake for a huge single blade oval tb, 28psi alchy/water injection, pump gas through a built stalled auto.

Ill pass on that. I dont like all that piping. Twin screw is clean and out of the way. Not to mention I love my curent KB to death. I am porting the heads with cams though
