New member here, so hi to everyone. I just have a quick question about yall's tire selection. I am throwing 4.10's in my car in a week or so, and was wondering what make/model of tires you guys run, especially those with 4.10's installed. My tires on the rear are about 60% done, and am not really sure what to throw on next. I am not looking for a street radial, but a nice street tire that can handle (or try to handle I should say:D) my new gears. Thanks

Hello and :welcome. With 4.10s, I would go with nitto nt-555rs. They will give you probably the best traction and longer wear than other DRs. Now, being a DR they wont last as long as a normal tire but you will be happy with them. I was more than happy with mine on the street

My guess stock size? 245/45r17 nt-555r is what i would get.

get some bfg kdw2...275/45/17...that should help you out, they aint drag radials but there good on grip and will last you way longer

I am confused, so are you looking for a drag radial or not?

If not, The BFG kdw's hook great

i was in the same dillema as you, i just got some 295/35/18 toyo t1r havent put them on yet but i hope they help out...if you dont race alot dont get dr they wont last you long and in rain its dangerous

if you looking for durability i haf michellin pilot sports and dam they last long, but from reviews there grip wasnt all that, i did notice grip issues

I would say go to Tirerack.com they have a lot of deals on some good tires plus they show you ratings.
Yea, I will be buying the tires from tirerack whenever I actually need them regardless. The dealership my pop's works at has their discount with tirerack, so it saves me some money. That also rules out the Nitto's, not only because they are a DR, but because tirerack doesn't carry Nitto's for some reason, never noticed that. The BFG kdw's sound pretty good though.

i would also recommend discounttiredirect.com, i havent found anyone with better prices than the, plus free shipping

How much are you looking to spend on tires? I got a recommendation for you...but the price is kind of steep.
Haha let me have it. I am not buying tires for a awhile, I just got to thinking about them since I am getting ready to put the 4.10's in the musclestang and was thinking about all the spin I'll be getting in 1st.

Be hard to hook on the steet with a normal street tire with gears or even stock really. Esp in a stick car.
