I decided to get off my lazy butt and weigh the car again. Still a fat pig IMHO.

I hit the scale right after filling up until fuel puked from the tank.

With me in the car, it hit 3620lbs. Without me it hit 3390lbs.

Again, full tank of gas, stock 6 cat H pipe is on the car, B&D battery jumper box/air pump in the trunk with a few other things + spare tire and jack.

I didn't remove or clean anything out. Even on race day I run with all that junk and the jumper box in the trunk.

I have pics of the scale reading, just need to get them off my cell and uploaded.

Now you internet racers can figure out my HP/TQ with your ricer mathematics. Stock skaterbacks, easing out of the hole (a hope and then floor it) 8.74/13.56. :yes

Other cars to compare by I found through searching...

99-04 body GT.

Gasoline weighs 6.15 pounds per gallon at 60 degrees F

1/4 tank of gas without me. No weight reduction mods(although probably could use it).
Found another.... I think scales vary greatly.

This is probly the best example your gonna get
mine is a 2001 bullitt with 18x9 and 18x10dd bullitts, bassani catted x, slp lm2, full interior, spair tire and jack, 3/4 tank of gas, me not in the car

Not To shabby...

Unfortunately i did not weight my car in the beginning but i was Guessing

3350Lbs.???

Added Just under 100 Lbs with the Blower Etc...

I Removed 440Lbs of dead weight from the car

Gas at 6Lbs per Gallon/ 15Gal tank = 90 Lbs

Only running 5 Gal if that to run at the track save me 60 Lbs

Putting me at Roughly 500 Lbs Removed

With Drag Wheel/tires im looking at around 50 Lbs of the car.

Im hopeing to be in the ball park of 2850-2900 by the time im done.
Keeping the Radio , A/c Etc Etc for now...

Sound Realistic ?

Not sure. The only real way is to go weigh the car in the trim you'll be racing it. Then pull weight and go weigh it again to see where you are and how much more you need to trim down to meet your goal.

I do know the 5.4L NVH blocks are way more heavy then iron 4.6L blocks, though. So you're going to have a more difficult time getting your weight down than a 4.6 guy.

My local CO-OP scale is free to weigh on, so maybe you should google one near you and pay them a visit to see what you weigh.

And FWIW, my local CO-OP has Ethanol free gas. :yes

she is a pig lol. not to bad tho considering mine weighed 3400 before I started reducing the weight

The 5.4 Blocks are only 25Lbs Heavier then the 4.6 Blocks Iron Vs Iron...

If i went with tubular a arms and tubular K member ill be back around N/A 4.6 Weight up front, Im about 30Lbs Shy of taking off the weight that i have added to the nose with the 5.4 and Blower.

thanks for that tip, once its running im gona put it on the scale at the local track and see where im at and go from there.

If you were 3400lbs before weight reduction, then the 99-04 GT's weigh less than SN95 94-98 GT's stock.

Because, my car has a aluminum block 4.6L PI _-90lbs over iron) and aluminum DS yet you only weight 10lbs more than me to start? I should be closer to 100lbs less than you stock.

Keep in mind, I just filled up until fuel spewed, too, and I suppose you might of weighed when you were near empty (gas = 6lbs per gallon).

Page 31 of the 2010 Ford racing Performance Parts catalog says:

Aluminum 4.6L block weighs approx 85lbs

Iron 4.6L weighs 155lbs

Pre-2002 5.4L Iron blocks weigh 185lbs

Post 2002 NVH Iron 5.4L block weighs 200lbs
So if you have a pre NVH, yes 30lbs more. If you have the NVH updated block, then it's 45lbs more.

All that said, my aluminum block 4.6L saved me a crap load compared to a 5.4L NVH.

You might want to research that because I've heard all 3 fuel grades at most stations should be at least E10. (Shell, Exxon, BP, etc).

I have, and none by me have ethanol on 93+ octane

No Biggie...

The Motor im building is a 02 the current in the car is a 04 Block.

So its only 20 Lbs more then i thought, Ive already took enough weight out to make up for the added weight of the Block, and some of the blower setup...

There is no way I'm hacking up my GT in to a coke can to win a drag race. :no

I'd rather just keep adding HP and replacing heavy parts with lighter weight ones to get there. :yes
Theres nothing hacked off my car and im lighter than 330 is :dunno
