well as you can tell i dont have a nice controlled enviornment for a paint booth.. haha and its been real humid today so im not painting. Im set back about a day and a half. I'm hopin to have the car done for Back to the Bricks, a huge car show here in flint, thats not untill the middle of august sometime. Ordered a bunch of stuff today, 5" cowl hood, seat harness hardware, 255 walbro, few other misc stuff. still hope to have everything black by the end of the weekend.

i had a 2.5" with the old setup, which was a 3/8 intake spacer with a edlebrock intake, fit fine under the hood. i now have a 1" spacer and a trickflow R series intake, which is taller than ****. its not something i really wanted, but im not running no hood for any amount of time, and i dont want part of my engine sticking out of a smaller hood. oh and the new engine mounts are a touch taller than the stocks i beleive. its hard to tell. but i did not want to buy a smaller hood and have it not fit. if the 5" dont fit there will be some modification to something to make it fit.

yes i know, i just want to get it done so bad haha

The belt size should be in between 71 inches and 73.5. Mine was 73 and i only have p/s, alternator and crank pulley. But every car is different. good luck...nice build btw

need some help. bought the kit and it came looking like that. cant figure out how it goes together. i feel like a retard cause i cant figure it out, but help me out. also i am doing the auto to manual swap. where should i drill the hold for the adjuster on the firewall, or should one already be there?

Thanks

what mounts did you go with that are taller then stock? why not go with a set of drop mounts?

well its a convertable with regular poly motor mounts. i know i shoulda bought some solid motor mounts that were shorter. too late now. a big hood i could care less about really. everyone has their own preferances though.

thanks for the info on the adjuster. and i take it that the side with the slot in it is for putting a bolt through the fire wall so you can adjust it right?

Don't drill your firewall!!! You have to move your speedo cable out of the hole that it is currently in and move it to the hole to the left, then your clutch cable goes back in that hole. Why Ford didn't just have it there in the first place is beyond me...

energy suspension poly mounts are oem size.. prothane poly's are like a quarter inch higher and oem vert mounts are a little bit lower then oem notch/hatch oem mounts.

i'd sell the polys you have and get something shorter while the motor and **** is out it'll tkae five minutes to swap
