Looks like u need a locker. I have a rebuild 8.8 locker out of a 89 if you are looking for something cheap.

Welcome to the forum!!! Yeah, you were hitting the limiter pretty hard there near the end of the track...
Is this your Cobra??? It's not the one I was thinking of when I heard where you got yours--but it's from the same area (I couldn't find the thread of the one that was in Roy).

hey 50ho nice to see a new face on the forum. Sick looking cobra. Maybe you will come autocross in fargo on the 26. Id love to see some of you guys come and race or even just spectate. Id be more than willing to give rides in my cobra to let you guys see what its like. Autocrossed today and took 8th in raw times., and tenth in the modified times. We also have a 2 day event coming up in minot during motor magic over labor day weekend if anyone is interested.

Where is autocross held in Fargo and what is motor magic in Minot? My auto cross skills are null but it would be fun to go play in the cobra, if my coupe is not ready to go on the September 25.

Thanks, I don't get very many complements on the car. Mater of fact the first thining my brother in law asked me when he saw it was how big is the trunk!!! I was like WTF.

Motor Magic is the biggest Automotive event in North Dakota. Its a good time!:yes

As a matter of fact, I just started it for the first time a few hours ago. I need to put some more gas in the tank. I just need to install the cat back exhaust and finish putting the interior back togather and she's on the road again. I ended up buying a wrecked 89 LX hatch and swapping all the wiring, suspension, brakes, rear end, engine, trans, etc. onto the GT. I added a E303 cam, Kenny Brown Gold E7(fully ported, 1.94/1.60 valves, .550 springs)heads, a ported Explorer intake, 65mm Tb, C&L 76mm, MAC shorties, off-road X-pipe, rebuilt the T5, rebuilt the trac lock in the 8.8 & added 3.73's, Summit rear control arms, etc. It should be a fun driver.
Drag Racing at Motor Magic is usually a big turn out. Friday night is test-n-tune, Sat. is the regular $20 jackpot, Sun. should be the $75 jackpot, Mon. will be regular points race. You should try and make it up, its a good time. Tell anybody that may be interested.

god its awesome to see everyone back on this forum. Autocross in Fargo is held at the fair grounds. I heard they just repaved it so it should be awesome if they did. Its fun to lay the smack down on the porsche club when they show up. Motor magic is fixing to be a blast. Ill be there for all three days, drag racing friday, autocross saturday and sunday.

What rear end is is your car now? I Think the rear end on craigslist list is the wrong width both axles and housing.
