Will 275/60/15 M/T ET Street radials fit without modification to the car?
Will they rub anything during the dragstrip run?

My 2004 Mustang GT is still on the stock springs.

That is a tall tire for an SN95, but diameter will clear on OEM spring height. I would recommend you have something to limit compression of rear springs, as they may rub as your front wheels begin to leave the ground ;)

Jazzer :)

I would expect some rubbing due to diameter if suspension is fully compressed, as the tire has over 1.25" less clearance, but maybe not :dunno

i have 13.5x28x15s and i didnt rub. I only had problems with the inside lip of the wheel tube where the trunk floor and wheel well come together. I have stock rears with half coil cut out

The reason I'm considering this:

Right now in the heat of summer I'm over 6000 rpms through the traps with my supercharger and 4.10s on 275/50/15 tires. My car is not intercooled and it's making 415 rwhp and I'd like it to live a long(er) life. When it gets cooler out I might be trapping 117MPH or so, and I'll be crossing the traps at about 6250 rpms or so. I'm thinking that if I keep the rpms down to something reasonable like 5800 rpms at the stripe, that my stock shortblock might handle it better. I'm getting good traction (still) off the line, but I'm spinning on my 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and I'm losing some time on the shifts.

I have different size tires (305/35/18) but i had some rubbing / slicing of the tire. I checked everything with the axle at full bump and was fine, but on articulation it would rub on this lip thing. It sliced off a good hunk of tread. I pounded it flat. Its probably worth checking and pounding flush before it costs you $$$.

Here you can see the hunk it shaved off. There was no damage to the tire, just loss of tread.

Here you can see how i pounded the metal out of the way.

Thats the same thing i had to do and that i was talking about in my post. I just didnt have any pics to go with it

The pics trick tuners posted are what needs to be done to ensure there is no rubbing on the inner wheelwell. Depending on the width and backspacing on your wheel you may need to roll your fender lip. Whats size and BS wheel are you running?

My 96 is sitting on sportlines, 275/60/15 MT DR's (and 28/10.5x15 ET Drags for the track). I had to clearence the inside with a BFH and roll my fenders. But the 99-04's have a little more fender clearance, so you may be good with that.
