Leather, or Cloth seats? which is mo' comfy?

I currently have gray leather seating in my car. In overall good condition, aside from a small triangular gouge in my passenger seat.

I've never been a big fan of leather seating - a little too hot for me - I like the windows down.

BUT, I've never sat in the stock cloth seats. Is there any comfort difference between leather/cloth...more padding?,,different design?

Which is better for the hellacious florida heat?

My interior is black trim, with gray accents - gray seating. Thinking of swapping over to black cloth if I can find it.

Think it's worth the effort?

Ya, I want a seat that 'breathes' better. Get serious swap-ass in the leather!

IDK I always liked leather all around. I can deal with a little warmth from them. I roll with the windows down too but sometimes I'll run the AC with them down. Fuggit

I never use the AC unless I have a whiny passenger. Sucks too much powa!

---if anyone wants to swap black cloth for gray leather - hit me up.

HAHA -- I know it suckes power. I cruise with it on sometimes and then I'll flip it off going from a light or If I think I need the power to pass or mess with someone. Got to stay on the p's n q's and it dosn't matter. lol

I thought the A/C compressor automatically kicked off when you were over 1/2 or 2/3rds throttle?

To the question at hand, I find leather seats to be more comfortable. Decent leather should still let your butt breathe, and not get too atrociously hot (unlike vinyl/pleather seats). However, this could just be that if someone is gonna cover a seat in leather, they put a decent seat frame underneath it, not just the cheapest junk they can find.

If you're worried about sliding around, that's what suede is for.

Of course, cloth seats are WAY cheaper.

I've got leather in my gt and cloth in my v6... i prefer the gt... i dont even have an ac so my windows are always down.

I know what you mean about the swamp-ass too, i get out and my damn shirt and ass are all wet, but you know what, i rep that swamp ass with style because what i just rode in! haha

i don't know how ur surviving with leather in soflo dude. I got cloth in my new gt because in my v6 the leather was unbearable because of the heat. Granted, I could have gotten a window cover but i really don't like having those cause they seem pwt but leather always has a pump up in the social classes. If your going to get leather, make sure u get a window cover for the heat. But IMO i would go with leather. Cloth just seems to cheap.

Ya,,the leather is killer in the heat. Really, I'm not much a fan of the 'light gray' leather color though.
When I look at my interior, I'm not really that impressed with it - to each their own.

...not sure if the A/C cuts,,,I thought it was supposed to at WOT,,,not 100% though. Either way, it makes my car a dog off the line, so I don't bother. Would rather have the windows down, and hear traffic around me too (crazies and pedestrians). Plus, I view the A/C as something that will eventually break,,,so I like to 'save it up' for special occasions,,,and those whiny people.


...I'm on the hunt for black cloth. If anyone knows any deals, let me know.

Leather

Pros - Nice looking,easy to take care of, doesn't hold smells

Cons - Gets HOT!!!!!

Cloth

Pros - Stays cooler

Cons - holds smells, staines, doesnt look as nice.

in my new 11 gt ive got the stock black cloth they gave me when I bought the car. my old 10 v6 had the same thing so in a way it feels like im still driving my v6 besides the engine difference. If you wanna go cloth theres some cheap sites that can help you there. just look them up on google theres tons.

I'm gunna put black leather in mine when I get a chance, the cloth stuff just really isnt what i want. but if ur wanting cloth, the feel and everything is fine so don't worry about it.
