My tuner doesn't like MSD wires for some reason.... I'm not throwing mine away until they're bad though. He can deal with it, lol.
thats because of the resistance that the wires have. The FRPP wires are a lower resistance, but the covering is soft and the boots tend to melt.

Not sure where you get your info, but my MSD's are 40-50 Ohms per foot, and Ford Racing puts theirs at 500 or more (depending where you look).

MSD wires are 50 ohms/foot. If my memory serves me correctly, Ford Racing junk is 1000 ohms/foot.

How is it a joke or even a bad idea? U buy used twisted wedge heads why? Cuz u are getting a great deal on a high quality product. If a professional racing team uses high quality wires and uses them for a very short times then sells them in still good working order, then how is it bad? Yes they are used and are not gona last as long but y spend 40 on wires with 500ohms per foot to a higher quality for the same price....

Do you ever wonder why they don't reuse them? I hear people all the time talk about buying used Nascar parts and how good the deals are. But why do they sell them if they are such good parts? Because of failure. They don't want the parts to fail during a 500 lap race so they replace them. Why would they fail if they are so good? Because Nascar stuff is some of the most abused stuff in racing.

Buying used electrical parts and used mechanical parts like heads is not even a comparison.
