I was looking into nexen tires but some guys on the forums convinced me otherwise so im back to looking for tires. Im on a budget and im looking to spend maybe $100 - $135 per tire. I think 245/45 r17 or r18 is the size i need. I dont need the best of the best for drag racing, my car is a daily driver so id like somthing that will last a lot of miles, and somthing thats good in rain. Somthing thats pretty good during WOT would be nice too. Let me know what tires you think i should get and a rough price per tire, thanks :D

What size wheels will you be running them on? I'd recommend Nitto Invos but they may be a little out of the price range you listed. Honestly one thing that a lot of people who have wrecked their cars will tell you: never cheap out on tires.

Alright, what size tire do you think i need. im running 18x9's with stock suspension, my cars not gonna be lowered for a while so i want tires that fill in my fender. i hate when i see street cars with akwardly small tires. AND forget my budget i guess. whats a cheap good tire that ud recomend.

I have kumho ecsta asx all seasons, they are cheap with a good tread pattern. They will last a long time and do amazing in rain..Just they arent sticky lol not a performance tire but good for a DD.

Ima be getting the Toyo Proxes Tr1 with the new wheels once I decide what wheels I want. I always change my mind

For 18x9 you'll want 265/35/18. You can go for a 255/40 if you're strapped for cash but depending on the tire manufacturer, it may look a little funky.

I've had a set of Kelly Fierce UHP in 265/35/18 and they're a pretty decent all-around budget tire and essentially the same thing as the Goodyear Eage F1 GS2. Launching will suck but for everything else, they'll be pretty decent. The tread pattern is pretty aggressive and the sidewall looks nice. I'd still recommend a set of Nitto Invos in 265/35 or 275/35 though if you can shell out the coin.

And +1 00vert, Sumis aren't too great.

I too happen to think a 265/35 is a good size and recommend you consider the NT555's, as I think they are a good value for a nice tire.

Jazzer :)

I'm running Falken Ziex's on the rear and Yokohama S.Drives on the front of mine.

My Falken's were $93/each at Discount Tire and the S.Drive's were maybe $130ish?

The S.Drives stick like crazy when dry and hold pretty damn well when wet. I can't vouch for the longevity of them because I burnt most of them off...But I think they'd last a good while.

The Falkens stick really well when dry, it's easy to break loose if you want though and they hold moderately well when wet. They seem to be doing great, I've done put 4000 miles on them in the past 1.5 months and they still look like new.

haha someone gave me a negative rep and called me a dick for posting tirerack.com what a bitch.

Are you sure you don't want the N3000s? They're pretty good for a DD and $120 for a 275/35/18.

As I burn off rears, I transfer them to the front, and buy new rears. lol

The 555's are GREAT but I thought you said affordable. :p

I recommended the Falkens because they're cheap and a good tire, but if 555's aren't out of your range, HELL YES buy them.
