I dont think there's a thread here about getting the 2010 GT500 Vent on a 2005-2009 mustang..

What do you guys think about it? A couple of people from other forums have tried this.

I think it looks sick, specially since you can keep your stock hood.

I think it looks nice. But, Im not a big fan of plastic inserts into things ( just looks kind of tacky ). If you wanted a vented hood there are far better choices out there, although they are much more expensive than that project would be...

The black one looks terrible, heat already caused waving. I wouldn't entertain it personally.
If i did this, i think i would probably paint it gloss black or use this one instead:

You have any links to a write up on doing this?

No. Not a big fan of the plastic insert in the hood. And after awhile would the sun not warp the plastic and discolor it?

True... but that thing up here is freggin hideous... I love YUR2SLO's Boy Racer hood...
Thanks man

But his is a Cali Dream hood that he customized.
yeah thats the one. picked it up at a goodguys swap meet of all places for $90

now gonna lie....if you check out YUR2SLOW on here his hood is by far the best looking one i have seen! he did modify it but damn it looks aaammmzzziiinnnggg and i think functional?!?!
Thanks man. i really like how it turned out too. it is functional but since i have a procharger the intake isn't in the stock location. i still need to reroute the ducting under the hood to the intake

Not a big an of that hood vent. just looks like you glued it on basically. it it was flush it would help alot but for that much work i would just get a aftermarket hood

I definitely like it, but only if it's painted to match. I don't dig the plastic or carbon rice look.
