So I have had my stang for a couple weeks now and up till this morning on my way home from work i had only had it to 120.. I couldnt take it i had to see what she really had and WOW!!! Maxed out the speedo at the stopper past 150 and was still gaining good speed, This was very dumb considering i was on a back road with tons of bumps and bridges, Still not sure what all is done to the car yet so far i know its got a bullitt engine, pro 50 shifter off road x pipe to the mufflers(no cats) an sct chip and possibly gears..

its fun to brake them loose once and a while but you got to be carefull theres a lot of people that die every year because they dont respect there cars i did the same thing in my cobra and almost lost it i got lucky so did you im not trying to preach to you just saying theres a time and place for this i know its hard not to want to brake her loose but you need to respect your car or it will kill you i seen these cars totaled and theres nothing left of them i dont want to see a nother stang in the junk yard so please and i think i speak for all of us just play it safe and dont be stupid we dont want to read about you in the paper or hear about it on the news.

ok wasent to sure but still i stand my ground our cars need to be respected i mean how many teens and guys my age die every year because they lost control of there car its pure stupidity i almost totled my car for maxing out the speedo its pure stupid i just wish people would open there eyes and see theres a time and place agree

i agree it was very stupid! Like i said i just couldnt help myself.0 to 80 is fun anything els unless on the track is stupid. She handled great though. cant imagine what she would be like supercharged.

Yeah, top speed on a stock GT is about 140. And to get anywhere around 140 or 150 would take a you a bit of road.. 'It aint worf it.'

My '03 GT could only get up to 146 Going downhill on a highway. My Mach was able to get to 151 stock, loaded with 600 lbs. of **** (not including myself) on a highway going slightly uphill. I haven't attempted those speeds since early 2005.
hmmm i was on a highway at 3am coming home from the casino a while back in my 2000, nobody around so i decided to get on it some, it got up to 145 without a problem and was still gaining but i car got on the highway so i let out. this is with just minor bolt ons and an auto, on a nice flat road. my 95 on the other hand, i've barried the speedo on that one a couple times, sprayed it up to 160 or so to beat a 600rr. that was a little intense.

Kinda funny preaching to a guy about speed when the only reason we're all on here is because our cars are ****ing fast. there is a time and place, but out in the middle of nowhere or on the interstate at 3am is fine. thats just the risk you take. at least he wasnt endangering other peoples lives.

are you guys doing this with the O/D turned on or off? not sure if its smart to be using overdrive gear for top speed runs or not.
