Another winter, another few mods...this year I did a basic wire hide, a/c and heater delete, and a little meth. 8 point and sfc's with racing seats and 5 points installed in March, paint in April...track time for real numbers in May!!

So has anyone ever tuned with meth? How much timing can I add while still being safe? What about adding fuel? I am using a tweecer, and will be getting a dyno tune anyways, but have to drive 350km to the shop that I want to tune it, just want to get it close for the drive.

All feedback welcomed!!!!

Looks good. You may wanna do some thing with that red wire, thats the only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb

Yes, I have a low level light ran to a gauge cluster, and a light for when the pump is running, but other than the Snow stage 2 control box, nothing to pull timing....

Well, I don't recommend using Meth to add timing, but as a measure to keep from having to pull timing during a hot/humid day. So, that way if, god forbid, you have a pump fail or something clog the line you don't put a whole in a piston. Some of the newest kits have a box that will pull any timing you've added in tuning with the meth kit should something fail or flow slow. Even so, I don't like the idea of using Meth to add horsepower or timing. I like it using it as a way of preventing loosing any power do to shitty conditions. I started in the suby world and many-a-STI owner has wished they did not use meth to add timing/boost.

Hmm...good to know!! So if I keep my timing at 23deg, running 12lbs of boost, will I still see/feel benifits from the meth?

when using meth do you just use a bottle of antifreeze ?

Yes, most certainly. Especially on hot days. Your IAT's will stay low and you will loose very little power. Ever notice on a 90* day how your car feels like a dog compared to a 60* day? Well with meth, its like that 60* day all the time.

A lot of guys use the windshield wash concentrate, which is really high meth. content.

I giggle every time someone says they're using Meth on their car.

But, very nice, very clean engine bay :)

maybe its a california thing....... theres alot of meth around here but its not be used on cars;)

I'm not sure what my max boost will be with the new pulley, hoping for 12lbs, I have is set to come on at 4 and max at 8lbs, but will be trying different combos as I go

I am a little worried that once I get on the meth, I won't be able to stop...especially the pure stuff that isnt cut with anything...
