well ive definately heard a lot of good things about the 40's and since so many people go with them they must be a good choice, so im gonna look into them most likely

Stop buying **** and research ! :) best advice ever !!!! I did the same thing, bought my exhuast before I researched. I paid way to Fing much, and got an Xpipe ... Wasnt bad, but I shouldn't have gotten it ... Oh well

But, your 16 man, im taking it this is your first car. Your in high school, its nice to have a cool fast car. I understand this. Im 19. I worked about 12-20 hours a week @ 7.50 for most of high school. I rarely bought ****, and ive saved alot of money through most of my life. Sure I wanted alot of things, but i decided to save my money.
Thats my first point.

2nd, your 16 and in highschool. No offense but you probably dont have the best driving habbits or skills yet. Not saying I do, but im a hell of alot smarter and better than i was back then. But also, even if your a good driver, alot of the people around you right now arent. My first car was a 94 V6 mustang. Its got several dings and scratches on it now ... Im glad I didnt put alot of money into that car !!!!

Because now, im out of high school, in college, still living with my parents for now, and saved up about 10k $$$. I bought a 2004 mustang, got an easy steady payment that I was going to pay off this month, but a few, not so good thigns happened ... Look at my Cam Installation thread for that ...
But anyways, I saved up alot of money, got a much nicer and newer car, and now im putting 3000k into this car for a new engine set up that im hoping for around 250hp to the wheels, or something close to it !!!
On top of all the other nice mods I did :)

I think ive made my point. Good day.

Well this is my advise. I am 18 now, was 16 when I bought the car.

If I could go back I would have bought the car just like I did then make a plan.

If I had decided I was going turbo last year I could have saved like $1400.

its cool. just do alot of personal research. no you want mufflers. they give more back pressure and different mufflers give diff HP
please research things more in depth

@OP...welcome to the money pit known as car modification. welcome to the site, and please don't get those mufflers lol...chambered or nothing :yes

if you want the cheapest mod thats gonna makes your car feel faster get 4.10 gears and a posi diff w/ a tuner from american muscle. youd be pretty happy for a little while until your making more $

or buy a v8 :)

sry...just because i'm back in a sixxer doesn't mean i don't think a v8 is the better car lol (personal preferences of course)

well for me i do agree with you guys. i barely make enough money to cover gas and other minor things so big mods are out of the question. Im thinking eventually il just trade up on a different mustang. The ones i really like are the cobras from my generation. im hoping maybe sometime in the next few years i could trade up to one.

you're 16...might i reccomend a savings account mod.

btw i hope you know a cobra from the 99-04 series has a high insurance rate...hell i'm 22 with no tickets and a '99 would run me around 3k a year...a termi would be wayyy more...just a heads up on that since it's something alot of people forget to look into

what do u guys think about strait pipes? i went to an exhaust shop today and the guy there said strait pipes would be a good idea, or the 40s. i wouldnt mind the louder strait pipes so is that good or isnt it a good idea with the v6?

well right now im running straight pipes... but im experimenting exhaust setups for the v6 section lol....right now we've found a prochamber takes out a fair amount of v6 rasp...now time to slap on some flows :yes

btw i noticed in you mod list it said underglow...please tell me that's a joke?

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but at your age, and at your maturity level, and at your income, there is no way you are going to make your car fast.

In fact, even after you've made your car fast, its going to be slower than most cars on the road.

So that means its still a slow a car.

What does this mean to you?

It means save your money, be smart, and enjoy your slow car while you attend school. Everyone in highschool is in a competition to have the fastest car. But you know what? 99% of the 'fast' cars, really are just slow obnoxious sounding cars that adults and other 'mature' people find either amusing or annoying. Don't be part of that population.

If you want to mod your car, mod your car to make it LOOK nice, SOUND nice, and maybe even be comfortable and clean.

Don't mod a slow car to make it less slow. It will still be slow.

I just turned 21, and if you have a game plan and stick to it, you can eventually build yourself up to a 'fast' car. I'm still working on mine. Waiting for a turbo to be released now.

Underglow = rice
glasspack = rice
idk what kid of wheels you got on, but by the way your sounding, they = rice

So in my words, take off the underglow, put on some dual flowmaster 40's, and find a decent set bullits, saleens, or cobra or FR500 wheels.

trust us, take ower advice.

op post a few pics of your stang, some people have already given you great advice, you should listen to people on here so we can save you and your car, for mufflers you want 40's or thrush chambered imo, take off the underglow and sell it to one of your buddies for 20-50 dollars. swap out your billet grill imo for a mach 1 grill delete.

and what are your "custom graphics"
