is it normal for there to be more than 3 threads asking subjective questions about exhaust setups?
Yes. And the answer(s) is (are) always the same...

ARH, Kooks, or Mac Longtubes FTW.

Mac Prochamber for deep old school sound
X pipe for rice and rasp / italian supercar sound
H pipe for depth without ProChamber Rumble and no rasp

High flow cats if mandatory

Borla Stingers, Magnaflows, Mac, Corsa, or SLP loudmouth / Pypes violator type setup depending on what is upstream. :yes

Mac axlebacks are one of my favorite sounding mufflers. Deep.

Check out Deekum's whip:

Then check out Deekum's depth after he adds the Mac LongTubes to the setup - SICK at :45

Sound

I've been on this site for years now and I see that exhaust sound is the most asked question, then gears followed by cams. This is fun stuff...

I had some raspy with my Kooks lt's /hf cats & h-pipe too... I installed a set CMDP's and it sounds deep and big block.
I was considering different mufflers to tone down the sound, now that the sound is full body it is game on...

dimora, you're legitimizing the need for more "how would this sound" threads. how are you going to feel when you get up tomorrow morning and see 50 threads about which mufflers sound the best? do you think your conscience will let you live with that?

I've never mentions cams but my first thread was a rattling img my exhaust. Post apologies for future threads. I however do search and try answering my questions on my own before posting.
no problem man. as you browse this forum more and more, you'll start noticing trends with the new guys. we're just old-ish guys that have seen a bazillion exhaust threads. we're just grumpy

Legitimizing, that is a 25c word for a nickel sentence :)

I know how you feel, it was the same way on the forum I was on (newtiburon.com). It can be a nightmare reading the same thing four times by four different people in one day. *facepalm*

I guess if the mustang sound wasn't it's biggest attribute then the question wouldn't be asked so much. People only want to spend there money once.

no, i totally understand. but how is getting someone's opinion on the sound going to help? i love the sound of cutouts or muffler deletes but most people hate them. everyone's tastes are different. that's my point.

and that nickel would be worth it if exhaust threads stopped
nobody is holding a gun to your head and making you read the thread. Me personally, i could give less of a **** about nitrous, so when i see a thread concerning nitrous.......I DONT F'N OPEN IT! its not that difficult.:D

There is like 7 right now lol. But I'm with Cheflan on this one. You don't have to read all of them.
