well atleast its off.
my junk is already running old man, get to work!
I'm trying. I'm just trying to take my time and make it right. I have no patience, so I have to force myself to not rush.
I have to take both balancers to the machine shop and have them spun, so they can match the balance of the new one, to the old one. I don't know about where you live, but the machine shops here don't get in a hurry, unless you buy a $100K engine every year.
I hope to have it going next week, but there's still a lot to do.
The hydraulic T/O bearing is mounted, and the bellhousing is in place. The master cylinder, and all the lines have to be ran, the pedal stop has to be made. There will be a lot of time involved with that stuff. The engine will probably have to go in and out several times to mock it up. The starter solenoid, and voltage regulator have been moved to the inner fender, the MSD box has been moved under the dash, and an electric fan is going on, and all the wiring for all of that, needs to be finished. All the stuff from march showed up, so the pulleys, and alternator brackets need to be mocked up. I still need to measure for pushrods, and get the intake on the engine. The measurements for the driveshaft need to be taken, and it needs to be cut and balanced. Once the engine is in, a limiter strap has to be made, and we are going to do all the new exhaust ourselves. Once the driveshaft and exhaust are on, we have to make, and mount a driveshaft loop. All the wires, and such have to be ran for the new gauges. The fuel pump relay wiring needs finished up, and the underhood fuel lines and fittings need to be finished. Some kind of throttle cable bracket is going to have to be made once it's in.
I think that's about it.....lol. So, once that's done, its off to the dyno. From what I think about it, I figure it's going to make 430 rwhp, and run about 11.50s N/A. When it does that, I am tearing it apart next winter, and sending my heads to TEA, and putting a solid roller in it. Then it should be pretty easy to make 500 rwhp, and go deep 10s N/A.
