Offset is going to be crazy... Not sure if those would work, especially since we cannot dial in camber like a VW. Alos remember our hub diameter is 70.5mm and you have to take backspacing into account.

My next setup:
19x8.5 +38 / 19x10 +43

Nice!! those look like bbs lm's! Dude, nice to see another avid "stancer" on here... i would LOVE to see a 3.7 fitted, flush, dumped, and stretched.. even if it were on bags! I've always been a huge fan of the Rota SlipStream, they're possibly the simplist wheel ever, but i think they would look dreamy on a lowered stang... what do you think? And they're not a crazy offset either
Slip Stream - ROTA Wheels

Why a four door? just curious.

and welcome to the forms:D
Well, my reasoning is that i love the practicality of a 4dr, and i don't care for the 2dr civic "boy racer" overall theme that goes along with a 2dr si... IMO the 4 dr si is just a much more mature car... but like i said before... i've waited my whole life to have my performance car, so i'm not gonna go the "mature 4dr route" anymore. A mustang is MUCH more classy than a 2dr si.

I sure am! I do detailing on the side for friends and family, thank you for the heads up! Im sure i will be all up in that forum as well... i seriously enjoy detailing cars... i mean... actually ENJOY it... it's fun

OP, welcome.

I have been involved in many forums myself with my old car and this one. This is one of the best groups Ive been with online. Im sure your going to fit in excellent.

As for looking at a car, got any links of ones your looking at now?

If you want any help with HID questions feel free to ask me. God knows I've done enough research. Lol.

And FYI dont plan on buying the projectors from Ford. Each one costs roughly a grand. ****ing ridiculous.

You cand do the whole retrofit yourself for under $300 and has better output than oem.

No, because i will be building mine when im ready, so i can tell you exactly what i'll be getting.. this may be tweaked slightly.. but i'm 99% sure i want
V6 coupe base model
Standard 6spd (no automatic... EVER!)
lava red metallic
Performance package.
DONE! Thats it! But then after purchase i plan on putting some different wheels on... when its time to buy new tires.. cuz i'll prolly go with 18's instead of 19's, and i'll put an axle back on it... either roush or bassani... not sure.. and then a roof rack for my bike.

Yeah, i could see myself doing the retrofit myself on a nice spring or winter weekend... i've done hours of research too, just havent done any retrofits.. only plug and plays. Do you by chance know what temp the oem ford projector bulbs are? Most imports like acura and lexus are all about 4300k... just curious what ford was.. The highest i would go is 5000k.

Just FYI, a Performance Package is not a base model. Its the Performance package car. lol

As for rim size, why would you downgrade from 19s to 18s? If anything, with these cars its good to get all the traction you can get.

Well, my reasoning is that i would rather have a little beefier tire size... and perhaps lower the car a tad... this would all work as long as the wheel was slightly smaller.

People have lowered their mustangs with 20's without a hitch. Have you looked at the new Mustangs in person? They ride pretty high stock. And 19's (from my research, and from biased opinion) as the perfect size for our cars (that is, if you can afford their awkward tire size and high price.)

I'm going to lower my car with my 19s. Even with my 19x8.5s I lose grip under hard acceleration and through shifts.

These cars are no small Hyundai.

:eek:hahahah i guess you're right man! Like i said, i come from the import community, where everyone has to pull/shave/roll their fenders to lower their cars on aggressive wheel fitments! I guess i just need to accept that 19's are great size and that even with a moderate drop, they'll fit just fine... and yeah... uhh my hyundai runs on 13's...

I'm a BMW/ VW fanboi myself. Check sig lol. I actually am not a Mustang fanatic at all. I only like the New Edge Cobra's and S197 GT's. I got my V6 for the gas mileage, looks, and for something different.

18's look small, 19's look normal, and 20's look a little big.

Right now I am dropped on Koni's and H&R Super Sports, later I'll be bagged or on coil-overs. Not sure yet.

^ First bagged 2011 Mustang/ Only bagged 2011 Mustang, yes please!

I already rolled my fenders (I own a roller) and pulled my rears. I'm just waiting to get my Leman's in and then measure from there for spacers.

It is hard as hell to measure, when you do not know the backspacing and I haven't made up my mind about tire size. 265, 275, 285+, etc.
