thanx all

and i got most stuff from local forums and stores. also got the BOV and wastegate from cxracing.com. Got the piping/clamps/bung/silicone couplers from racepartsolution.com

and its almost done. just two more things to do and then we gonna start it up

Its been what? almost a year since ive updated... :confused: :sorry


Well i drove her with for about 7 months with the turbo on (running 12psi) And she finally decided to give around January. But i did run her at the track and got a best of 14.1@99mph with coupler blowing off and MBC missing up.

Here is a video of me at the track...





Was running 12psi and the stock replacement piston decided to give (sealed power pistons)

Looks like piston #6 was the only one messed up. These pistons are know to crack like that

You could see it has cracks on the left and right side of the piston. If I would have driven it for a little bit longer, the whole damn piston would have broke

4.3L stroker, 4.2L crank,351W SCAT H-Beam Rods, custom forged pistons

3200 Stall Converter

Granatelli K-Member

Lower tubular A-arms

super sport coil over (Red) springs

14.5 # wastegate spring

I re-painted my block ford blue and installed the cam

Also, I sort of polished my turbo housing and heads....I still need to use that aluminum polish stuff to finish it off. I used 180 grid first and finished with 1500 grid sandpaper.

Blew a header gasket on the way to the track. I was suppose to be at 15psi but the leak let me get only 12psi. Also I did a crappy burnout.

RT - .883
60' - 2.075
1/8 ET - 8.653
1/8th mph - 82.86
1000' ET - 11.223
1/4 ET - 13.399
1/4 MPH - 103.44

You come around once a year around the same time for the past 3 years. This is crazy. Timeline is cool good job using the same thread. nice to see that you didn't let the piston failure hold you down! Just rebuild and keep steppin!

Mid 13's is awesome! Nice job. Props for keeping with a six and getting it done! Most talk of it and it never happens. You sir keep the party going!
 
just found this thread, awsome build man! Glad you're making the best out of your 6, i wanted to boost mine so bad but just didnt have anywhere local to fab it all up, i live in bfe. ANyways nice build and awsome sleeper! Got a color picked out yet?

Next time I update I should be in the 12's or even in the 11's....it will take time for me.
