Hp doesn't mean crap! If you like your Stang you can make it any Hp you want....

Same boat here, I would have taken a big hit on trade-in since it's an 07.
Plus I like the look better. Looks are subjective though, no argument will ever be won or lost on looks or sound or wheels or whatever is subjective. Unless it is utterly fugly that is. . .
Decided the cash was better spent on a SC.
Pros and cons for both options.
What's in your wallet?:)

Just keep your '10 and upgrade it yourself. Even if you can swing a good deal on a '11 5.0 in a couple of years a bigger more powerful mustang will be coming out. It's always going to be that way so it's easier to upgrade your stang yourself than to go buy a new one every time a more powerful one comes out.

All Stangs are COOL!!!! It just a matter of taste... Again you get a Stang you like and make it any hp you want. There is so many ways for a 4.6 3v to beat a Stock 5.0.. BUT if the 5.0 is modded all bets off... Its up to the drive at this point, Hp/tq numbers is for bragging, it is up to the driver to know what his car can do..

And I know people who think the 2005-2009's are ugly and like the New edges. It's just all a matter of opinion. I personally think all the stang models are sexy. Its a mustang and a american icon, and I cant be more proud to own one.
Agreed. I think I will stay away from a super charger for now and go the cheaper route and just get some 3.73s, a SCT tuner, and a cold air intake. The place that would be doing the work said it would cost $600 for the tuner, and CAI with installation and I figure it will probably be around $550 for gears and installation. Is there anything else I should have done to it while making this purchase? I was thinking about new headers, camshaft, or maybe an intake manifold.

If there is not much difference in price, buy from the shop that will do the install. Builds a relationship with them. You will need them all thru the life of the car as you build it up.
You can't do all the work yourself. Plus, they will stand more behind the product and work than if you walked in with you "lunchbag".

I think he will give me a good price. I was in shock when he told me $600 installed for a CAI and Tuner. It was an SCT Tuner and a JLT CAI I think..... Its been a while back. I think I will go with the tuner CAI combo and gears for now and maybe throw one other inexpensive upgrade on it while its in the shop. Im thinking a new intake manifold they give a decent gain dont they.

It took me an hr to install my intake and tune myself. So it is very very very very simple. Plus like mentipned before go through AM get discount for being a MM member and tunes for life. The average i see everywhere else is roughly $150 for three tunes. Ill take free please oh wait i did and they aere amazing.

A bolt on 5.0 will beat your average f/i 05-10;). Cai, boss manifold, LT headers, and e85 tune and you're well over 450rwhp. Throw on heads/cams and you're over 500rwhp. If you just want the car to look good, keep what you have. If you want to mod it and beat a 5.0... Sell it. Good luck keeping up. My tuner had a bone stock 5.0 with factory intake, tune only and ran a 12.4 with a car seat in the back. These things are amazing.

Yes, and you will have little to no bottom end power. On the street a whippled 4.6 would kill you until you got to wind that thing out for a few hundred yards. A 500HP 5.0 is not going to run like my car if I put a FRPP Whipple(the 550HP kit) on it.

We all agree that Ford will try to make the next model Mustang faster and better then its previous year Mustang. If you chase the " I want to be faster then the last years Stang" then your wallet will remain empty. I've gotten to the point that my Stang matches my 1st time I seen my car on the lot and what I had Imagined what It should end up to be. I'm a 60's guy and I wanted my Muscle car back. I have a car that scares me from time to time, I could get arrested when I have a Mustang moment. LIFE is GOOD!!!!
If you don't like your Stang,By all means sell it and get a new one. But if you are going to get a new stang for more hp, I don't think you will ever be happy because it will never end....
