Ok so far I've ran a best of 13.73@101.5 with a 2.09 60ft. I've since added lca's and lca relocation brackets but no power mods. If it doesn't rain Friday I'm going to head back to the track with two new power mods. A jlt cai and a diablo tuner. I'm wondering if you guys think it's possible for me to hit 12's n/a on street tires or if you guys think I'll need some sticky tires(which I can come up with if need be). I also plan on taking out the spare, passenger seat, and back seat at the track if I have to. Lmk what you guys think. Oh and I'm not sure if you consider this a mod but I'll also be adding a 160 t-stat to help keep engine temps around 180 to keep it consistant.

1- Tires
2- 4.10 or 4.30 gears
3-Aluminum driveshaft
4-150 Shot

I know you said 4 mods but you might need a clutch too.

probably going to need some sticky tires and gears at least man. idk if you remember but you posted in my thread about my best run and ive got a cai&tune in. granted you do have experience on your side, but my prediction would be low 13's as you sit now if you make it out friday.

Well I don't know how you drive but I'm not worried about breaking my car. So I'm gonna "drive it like I stole it" lol. I know it won't be easy if even possible. I'll be happy if I get 13.2's if the track opens.

I wouldn't take out the seats lol

In March I went 12.91 @ 107 with borrowed DR's, CAI, 93 tune and pulleys.
I also removed the shaker subs from the trunk and no spare, but that was the only weight reduction and I'm a convertible automatic.

It CAN be done!

That definetly gives me hope. Do you know the part no. for a short belt?

Im inclined to agree with the clutch part. Not saying your stock clutch wont hold but with 4.10s and a 150 shot its a safe bet to get a higher rated clutch anyways.

For some reason I was never able to hit 12s with my car. D/A did play a role (1200' in the cooler months and 3500' in the summer) but I think I still should have hit it. I had
1) intake tune from Bama/AM, ATS and a dyno tune.
2) LCA/UCA
3) sticky tires
4) 4.10

It's actualy 25 lbs but I don't want to tak weight out if I don't HAVE to. I will be borrowing my brothers qtp's and heading back soon. If I can manage to get alittle extra cash I'll get a tune for the gt500 tb and cmpd's and put them on as well. I'll probably end up going with just the qtp's first though. It does need a clutch. I'm looking into getting a spec stage 2+ with a spec aluminum flywheel.

I hate to be "one of those guys" that asks this question BUT

What should this run? Sea level track.

05-08 GT, automatic

3000rpm converter
LCAs
3.73s
C&L racer/bama 93 tune
pullies
JBA LTs
JBA H pipe with high flow cats
rest of exh stock
rear wheels/tires will be 18X10 18" bullits with NT555s (275/40/18)

I am hoping for low 13s and trapping 110+ But I have ZERO frame of reference on RWD vehicles so I cant begin to guess on my own.

In other news the partout on my old car started today, so I should ACTUALLY have my mustang in a couple weeks

The biggest thing will be traction. If the traction is not there, you will be luck to get into the mid 13s. Your trap speed will be about 105-108. I am basing this on what 2011 5.0s and 2010/2011 SS camaros run at the track on street tires, which is mid 13s to low 14s at around 110.

I see no problems for a 13 flat run over 110mph. DR's will help you get into the 12's though if you don't get there as is.

Not having traction is a cool problem to have...
