I'm thinking maybe the weekend after next would be a good time? I don't have the gears yet, but am able to purchase them in a few days. I was planning on going through american muscle and getting the ford racing gears, motive install & bearing kit, and the ford racing traction lok carbon fiber rebuild kit? I'm still debating between 3.73s or 4.10s...any opinions if I plan to keep it a bolt on NA 2v?
I prefer the Yukon install kit with their Super Shims, very easy to get the backlash right. If you're going to get the Motive Gear kit get R8.8RMKT; it used Timken bearings. If you do a decent amount of trips 100 miles or longer I would go with 3.73s, otherwise I would go 4.10s. Of course this is MY opinion, everyone has one....

Weekend after next won't work for me, I'm meeting up with an old friend of mine from the Air Force down in SD and selling him one of my 351s.... Maybe some time after that.

Good info..I'll probably take your advice and get the Yukon kit then. I'm still gonna try and figure out which gear ratio but have a little time to decide still. Let me know a weekend that works for you. You don't happen to know anyone with 3.73/4.10 gears for sale do you?

You can buy a new set and @ gef racing for 150 shipped. I would go that route. But if you need to save cash I have a used set of 3.73. Pm me if you want.

Anyone going to sabin on June 11th?

Ya I probably will just buy it all new and be happy. I'll be at sabin this saturday pending on if it doesn't get rained out again! Mat50ho, what car are you going to run?

No idea on what is makes has not been on a dyno. Stop buy and say hi on Saturday right now the weather looks good. Are you running your car or watching?

I'll probably run mine as long as there isn't 100+ people racing. I'd be happy to cut a 13.9, but will more than likely run 14.2-14.3. Will be interesting to see what the track is like compared to last year.

Yea I hope they do a good job prepping!

I only could cut 2.2 60 ft times last year, but people seem to run 2.0s with street tires, a good driver, and good track on the forum. Hopefully my 275 nitto nt-555s are up to the task!

I'm hoping to get in 1 or 2 runs with the biggs and littles on the cobra before I get married on the 11th!!!
What's it going to run? I need a to bring my 04 some day.

Can I ballpark a 12.5-13? So wait, you're getting married on Saturday and racing?!

Well the track prep was sub par again. Not sure what the problem was. I will try to post a clip later of me almost hitting the wall and spinning out. I really hope they can figure out all the bugs is was a train wreck yesterday @ sabin.

any input from the owners about it?

i think if enough people voice their opinion they might try to improve it. Until then, I dunno....

Glad you were okay Matt! I did run my best time yet, 14.2, but I think it was just from mods and driver experience. I was chirping into 3rd gear which is kind of bad. Hopefully next street legal will be better.

Well at least you guys got to drag! They postponed again in Minot for reasons unknown? Hopfully they get that track figured out for those street car events, before someone gets hurt! I ended up painting my bor-in-law's 89 GT. After a few issues! It ended up turning out pretty nice. Can't wait to see it after the cut & buff and a new set of chrome ponies!
