Just installed the Coil On Pack conversion harness. I love it, it cleans up the engine bay so nicely. Just need to get a reservoir bracket off a 01 gt to replace mine with to finish cleaning it up. Could not get the pictures to load up here, but I have them in my garage if you want to check them out.

Nice. I am switch over to COP with the new engine as well. The TFS intake really isn't designed to work with the 96-98 coil packs. We made it work but its very crowded and doesn't look that great.

and what? Converting a 96-98 car to COP doesn't change the fact that its still a wasted spark ignition unless you change the computer the rest of the wiring to go with it.

why cop? arnt coilpacks better, less hassle and less to replace? Am i wrong about that,i herd the swap is just for cleaning up the engine bay thats all.
I just wanted to clean the engine bay up. As you can see in my pics, I first did the COP swap....and went to town on everything else....lol IMO, it all came out great!

Dude, that is a beautiful engine bay! Is that an original 96 -98 cobra motor with 01 intake? Or a 4V swap into a GT? Either way, looks awesome. And clean, reps!
Thanks! I think it came out great. I'll post some pics when the turbo is on in a few days. ;)

This car (1998 Cobra, Painted Sonic Blue) is on it's 3rd engine. The 98 Cobra Engine came out (spun a bearing) and in went a new Ford 2001 Cobra crate engine. The 2001 Engine got replaced by a low mileage 2004 Mach 1 engine, that is currently in the picture.

lol, you guys going to cop and i want to go to waste spark :(

Are you wanting to run the coilpacks, wires, and everything? If I had a true COP ignition, I would probably swap to some sort of aftermarket set-up with GM coils before going to the factory COP set-up. Why? Dunno. lol

i would do that, but thats more $$$. i dont want to keep the car, and if i do i wont be keeping the set up.

Just figured I post my updated pic:

where is your power steering fluid reservoir at? I'm using a modified 2v bracket on my '96 Mystic Cobra with the COP conversion (looks a lot nicer than the '01 GT bracket) but hell, if there's an easy way to hide the reservoir, I'd like to know!

how much did the harness run you and where would i get it from interested in doing this conversion since i have a whole set of cops sitting in a bucket in my trunk
There is a guy (red monster) over on coral.net that make some very nice looking ones check with him as to what he charges.
