why cop? arnt coilpacks better, less hassle and less to replace? Am i wrong about that,i herd the swap is just for cleaning up the engine bay thats all.
I just wanted to clean the engine bay up. As you can see in my pics, I first did the COP swap....and went to town on everything else....lol IMO, it all came out great!
Dude, that is a beautiful engine bay! Is that an original 96 -98 cobra motor with 01 intake? Or a 4V swap into a GT? Either way, looks awesome. And clean, reps!
Thanks! I think it came out great. I'll post some pics when the turbo is on in a few days.
This car (1998 Cobra, Painted Sonic Blue) is on it's 3rd engine. The 98 Cobra Engine came out (spun a bearing) and in went a new Ford 2001 Cobra crate engine. The 2001 Engine got replaced by a low mileage 2004 Mach 1 engine, that is currently in the picture.
lol, you guys going to cop and i want to go to waste spark
Are you wanting to run the coilpacks, wires, and everything? If I had a true COP ignition, I would probably swap to some sort of aftermarket set-up with GM coils before going to the factory COP set-up. Why? Dunno. lol
