For those of you wondering about using it on chrome don't worry. After I took it off my wheels the chrome looked just as good as it did before. Not sure what happened to the guy above that had so much trouble getting his off. Mine took maybe ten minutes to remove.

damn it... seeing this tread makes me really want to paint my stock bullets and leave the outer rim chrome...

I might just get the wild hair and do this this weekend. It wouldnt take much to vht the rear lights and to plastidip the rims all at the same time.

I already vht'd the fogs and corners on the front end...

I want to do this.. Thoughts on what flat black wheels would look like with my legend lime??

well guys I figured the plasti coat bullits would look just like American Muscles new Matte Black bullitt wheels, photoshop guys take them and make us some chops!

I am so tempted right now to do this as a weekend project....

Unfortunately, I have SO much other stuff to do first. lol.

It's kind of addicting once you start. I did my winter starfish wheels, and thought it was pretty cool, so I ended up doing all emblems, and the front running horse. I did my mirrors just to see, and they came out pretty good also.

I think that would look sick man you should do it

And thanks for this post im pretty sure im gonna do this today to mine now lol

with the black stripes i think it would look pretty good man!
The flat black rims would be sic on both of your rides!

Thanks for the deck of cards trick. That's priceless.

Plasti Dip is awesome if you want a true satin, gunmetal, matte black finish.

I started with a mission to blackout my keyholes. After the spray settled I coated:

- Front and side emblems
- Side scoops on doors
- Wiper cowl across the lower windshield (looks like new, $140 replacement part)
- The two scoops on the hood
- The rubber molding all around the doors and window trim (looks new and will prevent further weathering)
- Door handles
- Blacked out my keyholes
- Blacked out my side bumper reflectors
- Taped off a stripe along my Saleen spoiler
- Re-rubberized the base of the radio antennae.

All of the rubber trim looks brand new, and I get compliments often.

Dries fast (like 20 mins), but allow to cure fully for 2-3 days. Then you can soap and water wash it with a light brush. For extra shine, you can wipe on some Armor All, or a similar product.

You say allow 2-3 days to cure fully? after I spray my wheels, how long until I can mount em and drive. I dont have 2-3 days to sit around

The blackout out reflectors on the bumper adds a nice touch.

FYI - I removed the black strip that I did across the back window. From the outside it looked great, but after 8+ plus coats of Plasti-Dip it was still not fully opaque when inside the car during the daytime.

In the future, I'm thinking about doing the bottom running board trim, and the side view mirrors.

If you like the two-tone look that's classic on the SN95s, you can do the side pillars around the window, and the roof. Wide stripe your hood. Add some color to you grill or do some rim inlay accents.

- Only prep required is a good clean surface. wash with soap and water, then dry.

- Plasti Dip goes on best with a light base coat first. Then 2-3 coats on top of that.

- The safe zone is around 6-inches from the surface you are painting. Stay there spraying with even strokes and you are golden

- No hairs, dust, or excessive pollen should be in the air around your painting area.

Grim that looks sick. thanks for all the tips. Im sitting here at work until 8. Then im gonna do my wheels when I get home
