Not the only difference. Ceramics hold the heat in better for exhaust scavenging too.
damn, the speed shop misinformed me then. i was browsing through the web and i saw this header wrap, supposed to keep heat out from the engine bay and i guess if u think about it, it may work like a ceramic coating. waht do u guys think? or a gimmick?

Heat wrap is real working thing, just be prepared to have your headers rust out.... from what I hear.
Are you saying they will rust out due to moisture in the heat wrap, because they are chrome and not ceramic or a combo of both?

For a 100 bucks more i would have gone with the ceramics

Got my used longtubes and h-pipe for 150$...Can't beat that. All I did was sand and paint. Sure they're rusting now...plus some rot, but it was cheap and easy. Next set I'm gonna get some jet hot or something similar. Maybe even bake em on the BBQ.

That spray on, ceramic paint that you bake on......doest f-ing work...lol

I followed the directions, baked at 250 for 30 min, let cool for 30 min bake again at 450, for 30,let cool for 30. Ect ... ect... i guess the only thing i did wrong was the last baking called for a temp higher then what my oven went to...i think it was like 650, and i dont think my oven went past 550-575... cant remember now, but with in a few hours a few areas the paint flaked......im just telling you this so you dont waste your time
