Car looks amazing! Droool* nd yes john is an amazing tuner from what I've heard. As for ur question i believe they say a 10% drivetrain loss through a 5 spd. So that would be 440 crank. Im sure a google search could explain the drivetrain loss expected on our cars nd simple math can help u solve it after tht

From what I was told evo performance is very high priced and yes john is good but he's hardly evervthere anymore. I would ask some locals about other shops first. Jst my opinion. I've actually been to performance evolution( lol name is just flipped) in deleware and matt is a nice guy nd seems to be a favorite in the tri-state area

imo the safety falls in the tune. some have had high hp setups last along time and others have trashed a motor at lower hp levels. in alot of ways it is hit or miss. be smart about your build and dont cut corners to save money cause it could add up in the long run. fuel system and maf is extreamy important when it comes to being safe.
The more you drive with your brain, and less with your balls, the longer it lasts too.

Ok I'm planning on runnin a d1sc with 3 core intercooler 255lph fuel pump and sctba 2900 I think it's called I'm getting my tune done by evolution performance in aston who specialize in mustangs

That's a great setup. Take a look at my garage and see my parts list and you will see what gets you to about 425 to the rear. I have been driving on it now for a while and the previous owner drove it this way for three years and no issues. The biggesst issue I have is buying new tires every year...

As for the Boost-A-Pump, yes, it is a good idea especially if you are into fine tuning.

For a single pump, SVT Focus or Ford GT. I also saw some new one on the forum around here that does well also, but don't know what it's called. If anything, I'd do twin Cobra pumps with hat and all.

I believe you're thinking of the Aeromotive 340?

Now if I wanted to do twin cobras how do I set that up and why modificatioins would have to be made
Your best bet would be getting a Cobra hat for them, otherwise you're in for some fabrication. The GT pump is mounted in tank, the Cobras are on the hat.

...although I also have a set of stock Cobra pumps sitting around. :yes I went with dual GT (supercar) pumps for my fuel system.

Dave Guy From SGS **Now DGR Performance** knows his stuff as well. When ever I get a chance and add a few more things to my car I'll be going there to tune my car. I have a basic tune From SGS now for my car he sent me with my tuner when I put my gears in.
This. Dave Guy is a very good tuner and just a straight up shooter, tells ya how it is, options you have. They are in Dillsburg PA, just west from York PA. Takes me about 30 min to get there from York. I went there when I lived in MD too. Well worth the trip. They have their own dyno in house.

DGR Performance - Specializing in GM and Ford Installs, Tuning, Fabrication, Conversions

Dave Guy worked there when it was Kauffman Motorsports, then SGS Performance, and now Dave Guy runs the place under DGR Performance.

He tuned my car. I have a stock bottom end in my '01 putting down 502rwhp in my '01 Roush (setup from about 40k miles to current 51k miles, D1SC @ 11lbs). He also tuned my old setup of 440rwhp (18k miles to about 40k miles, P1SC @ 8lbs).

Don't get stuck on numbers. A poorly tuned new edge at 350rwhp will detonate and explode too. It's all in the tune and Dave Guy knows his stuff. Decently priced too.

My '01 has Patriot Stage II heads, HP S292 cams, twin focus pumps in stock GT tank, BBK longtubes, BBK catted, H, Trick Flow plenum, Spintech mufflers etc.

BEFORE you go buying parts and such, talk with whoever is going to tune your car because they often have a preference on parts they like tuning with.

Good luck!

My '01 Roush

In general you need supporting mods such as cams, heads, exhaust, etc. to go over 400 rwhp safely. If you want your motor to last you shouldn't do it on boost alone.
