I mis-read your post to mean you were selling them on there, and $171 was the amount it was for sale. I didn't realize you found them on there for that much. I was guessing your eBay seller name, MK was a seller of these. Again, I've been working waaaay too many hours! lol Hey, when I think of parts I need of course I think of you first! lmao!!!

If it is lean and bumping the pressure helped, then why not? I see no harm myself.

Now I just need to save for a while. I read a lot of reviews on the meter you mentioned and they were mixed. So you enjoy yours a lot and it works well? I have no need for variable fuel metering so I assume the LC-1 is the one to get if I go this route.

Bought it last year, haven't run the car since cuz I got lazy when the humidity hit, and decided to do house projects instead. Just read a couple reviews myself, and hopefully I don't have any issues, or I'll be angry with myself.... way past warranty now!

That would suck for sure! I really like the interchangeable face plates and bezels. That is a cool touch since I don't know what color scheme I want - but I am really leaning black and blue. Like this:

Amazon.com: Auto Meter 6178 Cobalt Wideband Air and Fuel Ratio Kit: Automotive

I have read the installation instructions to the Innovate and this one and they both seem like real nice gauges. This one is a bit more, and has higher reviews but the Innovate is cheaper and I like the interchangeability like I said.

I think I will wait a while and see if anyone has one they are selling or I find a deal on one. Thanks again for the info Fast!

Fogged- My bad, yes that is what I meant. I'm working too much and delirious. lol

I would love to see my numbers in the mid 12's for AFR. A few weeks ago I checked all the fuel lines from tank to rail and nothing is kinked. I just don't know what else could be going on. This is crazy.

I know within the next 6 months to a year I will either be doing a SC or heads and cam (more likely). And with those would probably come the need for 24 or 30# injectors. I can't see having my 19#'s cleaned (How much does that usually run, anyway?) just to have to buy new ones soon anyway.

I have asked this before, but I wanna make sure. Stepping up to 24# injectors now would just cause me issues, right? I am only running CAI, 70mm Ford MAF, 70mm TB, Performer manifold and ceramic headers / cat back. As we all know, I am only at 218 hp to the feet. I would have drive-ability issues if I swapped in 24# injectors, correct?

Fast- I am looking on there for your gauge now. Are you MK....?

Fogged- Awesome article! I can do that. This may be a great way to rule something out.

I will try to get the AFR gauge ASAP and if bumping the pressure didn't help I will do this next.

That's another great website like veryuseful is. It used to be fordfuelinjection.com, but I guess ford sued them or some stupid **** because it was a non-affiliated group that used "ford" in the title of the website. Not 100% on that but I remember seeing a disclaimer from a law firm say something to that effect when I tried to go to fordfuelinjection.com a while back. They re-named it oldfuelinjection.com and all the old info is there.

I just bought the AFR gauge, and boy is a goodie! (I have no CLUE how I am gonna eat for the next 2 weeks, but I could use to loose the weight! lmao!)

PLX Devices Inc - USA

I have done a lot of research and this gauge it is THE way to go it seems. I can add different modules to it and control a number of things from one gauge. Awesome!

The reviews of it are excellent everywhere I looked. And it doesn't even require calibration. The modules are small (under the seat I should be able to get a few of them) and cheap (compared to separate gauges)! I spent $250 for the gauge, wideband sensor, AFR module and a O2 sensor bung, shipping and tax.

Here are the other modules that can be hooked up to it.

The size of the actual gauge is awesome too, it is WAY thin. I am thinking right on the column or even (I know it sounds ghetto) Velcro'd to the existing gauges panel. Being so thin it should fit well. I want a clean, non-cluttered look and thanks to my buddy (Dave you rock!) he found this. He has known a lot of folks to run these and love them. I will report on my experience when it arrives.

Ahh, I see. No one ever accused me of being bright!

I think if the FP gets set to around 46-48 and I can get the AFR in check I would be happy. Time will tell with the gauge...

Thanks!

You can get your injectors cleaned, flow tested and the replaceables replaced (same as the kit above) for about $140 +-20. Not as cheap as doing it yourself though. I had mine out last winter and in the box to send but never actually sent them. Spring hit and I put them back in

He had 3 problems.

his issue was a bad valve on the charcole canister ( that was the reason for the smell) we figured this out in another thread that he started.

As for the car running like crap..... that was because of his C&L mass air flow sensor.

Also his fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail was not reading correctly

Just a note, someone in the thread said that all ford maf's are the same, which is not correct. the part of the statement that injectors are changed in the computer from the factory is correct tho. However, in all the cars I've tuned, each factory maf for different models carries a different 'curve' which is a function of mass of air per either 'tick' or some unit of time, which depends on what software you are using. How this affects things, is as this guy was experiencing the leanness at wot, was probably due to the maf sending out a voltage for a particular mass of air and the computer interpreting that voltage as a different mass of air and in turn injecting too small of an amount of fuel. This can all be fixed by tuning a chip for the car to alter the maf transfer function to work and allows the computer and maf to work together, the maf sends a voltage that is interpreted correclty by the computer so the proper fuel is injected.
I was impressed with how much information was passed in this thread, a lot of really good info. This one point was the only one I saw overlooked through the thread, and since I'm a tuner by trade, it's not something that most others think about.
Just an fyi. Hope the op got his other issues sorted and bought a tune for the car.

Then your going to have to deal with that smell
