So I am trying to sell my Mustang right now, and have a buyer for 12,000 if I wait until mid-end summer (Car prices are much higher up here) So my choices..

2007 ish GT500 or a 2012/13 GT

I like the newer body style, but I also like boost, and Im sure I could get good numbers with the new 5.0 and a KB or Vortech..

Holy crap, $12k up in Ontario? That's a lot of loonies. I think I'm going to drive up there, sell mine for that kind of cash, then drive home in a Supra. (...and spend a couple nights in the Falls. Just like old times.)

Back on topic, I would say 2012 GT. The 5.0 is a very potent motor and works wonders with a KB. It would certainly be leaps and bounds above your current ride.

And all this is assuming you've got the cash. $12k is a small dent in the price of a new GT or old GT500. I was looking at around $30k new, and thats with a discount. I'm hoping you've got the means to afford the rest of it.

I'd take the gt500

I would take a 99 with 16lbs of boost with a T56 magnum.... O wait thats whats I got lol. I do love the new Mustangs though, buy a 2012, smack a blower on it and enjoy

$12,000 Canadian? I tried to find the exchange rate. It said .93 so that's still $11,160 US. Wow. Can I come and visit you and sell my car?

P.S. Just kidding but the secret of selling a car for a good price is to find the right buyer. There is no guarantee that another buyer will pay that much. If you have a lot of buyers willing to pay that much, then I would suggest you get into the modded mustang sales business. But down here for $6,000-8,000 sell up there for $11,000 (US$).

The average cost of a mustang GT here is $14500 Honestly in the local listings mine is in the same price as stock GTs with higher mileage.. I think all I need is some warm weather and its gone.

and BTW its up for 15000

^This, I found the right buyer for my car but unfortunately I am not selling it, cant sell it, and I know that if I ever do go to sell it, I will never get offered as much as I was by said buyer

Damn... Sucks values are so low. Guess I haven't looked around much but hell, I've got that much $$ in mods over the years. No car payment and 2v parts getting cheaper by the day make me content with mine for quite awhile.

The 2013 GT with a $6k intercooled Vortech Si at 8psi, larger 110mm inlet, and KB BAP will make ~ 625rwhp.

No doubt they are badass but thats plus the $30-40k to get into the seat.. its really all about if you can pay to play the cubic dollars game.. he could still squeeze more outta his GT, but new projects are always fun
