Got my car back from the exhaust shop a few days ago. Ever since if i go 60mph or faster and let off the gas my car vibrates like crazy from the rear of the car. I can be in neutral, clutch in or out, car turned off and coasting and i still get it. It gets worse the faster i coast as well. The second i give the car a touch of gas it disappears completely. Now i do have 3.73's in the car and have had them in there since before i even bought the car but never had this issue before. I'm thinking its my pinion angle, any other ideas? :dunno

Maybe trans mount?

Has this been going on before you took it to the Muffler shop? I had a Flowmaster that would rub the crap out of my frame rail. It made a hellacious noise and vibration

check driveshaft, make sure the trans yoke is ok and u joints are good and greased

see mine does the same exact thing! but seems like more vibration from the front but when i had trans rebuilt i have a bd u joint i need to replace...

Your answer is right there. If the symptom suddenly appears right after making a change (installing a different exhaust setup), it's probably that change that is causing the symptom. Look over the whole system for anything that could make contact with the body when decelerating. From your description, I'd bet it's on the passenger side rear pipe.

Exactly.

I should check that out.

Exactly.
Yeah, im going to look at it friday, im super busy this week. I'd be happy if it was only a u-joint

I would look at the exhaust first but the symptoms you describe also happen when you have a bad u joint
Yeah it would make sense, i have a feeling my u-joint was dropped or something along those lines when the dropped my drive shaft.

Thanks guys. :yes

When i had that. i had a very very loose pinion nut. In your case check the exhaust.

Check your lug nuts in the rear !! They will cause that to !!

Just updating everyone, turns out all four of my driveshaft bolts were so loose i could unscrew them with my fingers. So a generous amount of locktight and an impact gun and we're all done. Fixed the vibration.

Good to hear it was an easy fix
