alrighty guys i dont know which long tube headers i should get.. jba with h pipe or pypes with x pipe.. any suggestions?!?!?:dunce:
Forget that.just get a set of shorties. our stock manifolds flow so badly that shorties will be a huge improvement. it also helps if you take out the stock cats and put in 4 high flow cats (2 on each side). because they are high flow cats they will actually increase the rate at which the exhaust moves out of the pipes. the next thing to look at is your midpipe and to make it easier i've attached a link below. in the link you'll find probably the best midpipe option available for the S197 cars. next you should address your mufflers, but we all know that's totally up to you and what sounds best in your opinion.

i really hope you figured out that was a complete joke :screwy:psycho bob yea but i rather go with long tubes since im look for more power than shorties will out put and if i get shorties eventually i would prolly get long tubes.. so im just gonna go with long tubes.. i dont think i want a full exhaust since i want cut outs.. hehehe
I knew you were joking, everyone knows your supposed to put 6 high flow cats in for max power 3 per side.i really hope you figured out that was a complete joke :screwy:
Dude, my 96 gt came with 6 cats.... smaller than the ones on our cars stock... but no cats is where its at...bahahahaha. what's bad is some cars do come with multiple cats on each side.
If you are gonna run that, you really need to add some power bands too.I knew you were joking, everyone knows your supposed to put 6 high flow cats in for max power 3 per side.
That happens to me every time I post over there...and Jeremy at S&H Performance always jumps on me...so I jump on him back and tell him to piss off.Oh ****ing s197 and their "this isnt tech" idiocy.
You ask a question, directly related to technical knowledge, and some dickhole NEVER FAILS, to come in and say "this isnt tech"
Never had that happen to me, but I have seen it happen a million times.
The line between what is considered tech and what isn't, is completely arbitrary and what is considered tech in one thread, is not considered tech in another.
Dont get me wrong, I really like s197, but they can be a little goofy in that tech section.
That's the problem...most of my write-ups are wrench turning, or clearly tech...and then the jackass tells me its not tech.Jeremy jumps on everyone. Play it safe. I figure if you aren't currently troubleshooting an issue or turning a wrench, it doesn't belong in tech. Hypotheticals, what part is good, next mod, etc should go in chit chat. Not really too hard to understand.
What is tech?
That mobile device thingy
"titanium-injected rubber" lolIf you are gonna run that, you really need to add some power bands too.
One for HP, and one for Torque:
