Yes, but a PI swap would have given him as much or more power than this did. I would've thought TrickFlows with stage 2s would have given way more considering all the costs. :withstupid

I think TFS made a mistake and offered him the wrong heads I think they should of offered him the 38cc heads. Like I said before I think there was some miscomunication somewhere.

All i have is cams and intake and make close to that thru a 4r70w so i know something is not right. but be off timing or the tune is sht. I would not accept those numbers with those mods they are full of crap .

Yeah.. Man what the **** am I suppose to do now? I'm ****ed.. I'll call the tuner tomorrow, but I think I'm pretty much ****ed ethier way..

If you paid your money for it make him do the **** again. Its unacceptable to have that in that car. The only thing i feel else that would cause low rwhp is a torque converter issue of some sort. It is possible that it was not dyno'ed correctly . is the fluid up to level in the trans and was it warmed up (transmission also ) when you got it dyno tuned.

It does seem low but your running thru an auto also.

I thought I'd put down more then 262/301 when I got on a dyno.

MMR stage II PI heads
Accufab 75mm TB&P
LT headers & hi flo cats
stock PI cams w/NPI short block

Remember that all dyno's give different #'s. Even 2 dynojets or 2 mustang dyno will give different #'s.

I'd say put it on the track and see what she'll do. :naughty:

Well come Wednesday night that's the plan..

I don't know if the transmission was warm or if the fluids are full/ect.. He tuned it and said it "made a lot of power" for that year.. the tuner is good I cant find one bad review about him, everyone suggests going to him..ect... I'll call Monday and let him know whats going on and such..

You shpuld be like 320 even.on a mustang dyno....
I don't agree with this number. Very Very unlikely you'd get to this number with those mods

No, your not ****ed. Look at it like you got a great start on a massive engine. If you build the bottom end you can get whatever compression you want and I guarantee those Trick flows and cams will make a ton more power under boost than your old npi setup did.

The bottom end does not cost that much to build either. You can do it for less than the retail of those trick flows. Source a cobra crank and then get some forged Mahle or Diamond pistons and add forged H beam rods and your good to go to crazy high boost. Of course there is all the hardware and upgrading the oil pump involved as well but that would be my next step if I were in your shoes.

On a side note, What intake are you running?

I have a npi manifold with a accufab 75mm... I ha a pi manifold but couldn't fit it on without losing my ac/heat… ****ing "x" motor.. Trick flow tried selling me the track heat bullshit but didn't do it.. I got a bbk cold air also

This might be the problem NPI INTAKE ON TFS HEADS. No efficient flow maybe.

SHHHHH...Do you smell that?
After reading through this that would be my guess as well. The heads probably aren't getting enough air. I'd get a good intake and see what that does for you.

Update!
Went to the track tonight, good weather the track sucked .. It's just an 8th not a quarter. Before my mods I ran a 9.4.. Now with everything And a ****ing tune I was running 10's wtf? When I'm getting smoked by a 2010 f150 something isnt right.. Might be my tires though, I got proxies4 toyo, I was spinning through second.. Something seems all ****ed up

You need a better intake.

Even though the track heat is basically a glorified all metal PI intake it will still get you much more air into your heads than the terrible npi intake you are running.

Thanks man, for all the help. Everyone. I'm looking to get NITTO or the Mickey T street-drag-radials.. I was thinking 275-50-17, or 315's... any advice ?
