Well as the title sloppily points out, I have been looking over intakes since I have the car part refreshing bottom end getting heads ported anyway. I have been looking at edelbrock, bullit, hardball'r, and a Sullivan and p-51.

Pretty much all available.

I haven't read any solid reviews or cam across any real dyno sheets of someone that is making good power with one of those setups.

Edelbrock I'm concerned will cause me to lose a ton of torque, and it also requires rails, and some other parts to be purchased.... I'd rather be down 20-30hp than lose 50 lb ft of torque down low.

Bullit, I haven't seen a dyno sheet or chart of one that has a blower and other mods.

Haven't really seen any of the other setups, or heard much about them.

Feel free to suggest or offer up a link to some good info... I'm not afraid to read and sort through info but just looking for a little help.

Setup: 01 gt Romeo block and heads, forged crank, rods, diamond -19cc pistons about 9:1. Heads will be ported, cams were comp cams but planning on changing to a set from FTI. Heads will have flow numbers when I get them back.... Wanting to have intake flow tested as well before getting cams ground.

Novi 2k blower with 8 rib setup, FM Interc, 60lb inj, KB BAP, dual pumps, pro m vortech bypass, long tubes, and pretty much every other mod.... LoL. Most of the stuff was done to this car when I bought it last year... My first 4.6 but I've had numerous mustangs.

If this is a question asked often I apologize but I didn't see anything in the first five pages.

Yeah I vote Edlebrock.

I forget, someone made a front facing throttle body on the 2V's. It looked nasty. I want to say it was Sullivan, but I really cannot remember.

There are a few Sullivan 2V's out there... They are front facing.. May have been proto stuff idk but I have seen them.

Looking to make 600hp... I know the factory intake isn't gonna do it. Even though it served me well making over 500 i just know I want the ugly plastic intake gone... What about a ported bullit... Would be pricier than the Eddy but I want my low end torque.... I'd miss it.

Anyone have numbers? What rail and fuel setup did you go with? Do you have to go to a return style setup?
 
Theres the logan...front facing..expensive though..Get the eddy..half the cost.. I have it..works great on superchargers. Dont worry about the tq loss. Thats for N/A cars basically..
 
Any 2v I have seen with my own eyes making over 600 has had a custom made sheet metal intake...

Mine makes over 6..i have a eddy..but i almost got the logan sheetmetal but didnt want to move my pipes to come in at the front cause i couldnt with power pipe and how the procharger down pipe is...and didnt want to spend $1600 vs 500$ for intake and rails and everything with my discounts i get

LOGAN! Thats right thanks kid. Yeah the Logan intake is nasty, if I had money, I would buy it for looks.

Pretty badass. Totally unique. Have to re-do your intercooler piping to go from passenger to driver. Would look awesome..... DO IT!
 
Edelbrock and 6061 elbow. In the end with the fuel rails and adapters you'll be spending around $900. Guy on modularfords.com gained around 60rwhp by just swapping from the stock intake to a Eddy and 6061 elbow. It was a supercharged auto with 11psi.

Yep, I mentioned him before. JustinSchmidt or something? Made 385rwhp @ 11psi, ran 11.35 @ 121mph in his PI swapped 98 GT. Added an edlebrock intake, made 440rwhp.
Speaking of his 11.35 @ 121mph is very impressive. But I really think Cecil County is the fastest track in the country. I always see out of the ordinary results from there. Probably goes downhill lol.

I would try to hunt down a Fox Lake P-51! Those are bad ass IMO!
Maybe Im the only one that thinks the P51 intake is ugly as ****

Does anyone know if that car already has cams etc in it... With cams and a little more psi it'll be well over 500.... Any link to a build thread or anything? Bandit, is there a link to a build thread on yours...

Gathering knowledge fellas, only been in the modular game for about 9 months so I'm just baby....lmao.

BTW. I appreciate everyones help.. I've been on another forum to remain nameless for years and get no responses on there with any questions... Seems like there are a nice number of people here making good power as well.

I stand corrected. That's the one I was thinking of when I said Sullivan.... I would love to run that one but don't want to change intercoolers and pipes...

Actually his car was an auto too. I believe he was selling the blower setup...Idk why. Hes over on Modular Fords. A set of good blower cams, and 16psi, hed be close to 600rwhp on stock heads.
