Colorado is one of the, if not THE, most beautiful states in the country. Such a range variation of landscape. Love it!

You know its good you didn't make it, my phone was dead most of the trip and I had no charger. I was worried you showed up and tried calling. I didn't think the show wasn't as good as last year, but I'll probably be back again next year.

I have been there. A few years back I was in Estes Park with some friends and we were talking about visiting the Stanley Hotel. I was thinking SWEET. It looks awesome in the shinning all isolated in the mountains and the bush maze in front. Little did I know it was 100 yards from 13 ice cream shops in downtown EP. lol


Looks like a bad ass trip man... Best kind of vacation right there. Screw sitting around getting drunk on a beach!

Haha I was honestly terrified the whole hike because of that sign. I was lugging around a giant stick to fight them off, and like I mentioned, we sure enough came across one. Luckily it ran off, although I'm positive it stalked us the rest of the way :shitbrick

Its not actually where they filmed The Shinning, Steven King stayed there and had a nightmare that inspired him to write it. He didn't want to make the movie there because like you said, the town is literally right there lol, not secluded at all. Although they did film the TV show version of it there.
