Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 99 3.8 V6. After looking around the internet this looks like the place to be to get some helpful tips. The car is in great shape. What would you suggest to start with to increase the performance (power) of the vehicle?

Thanks

First off congratulations on your new car! I recently bought the same car, first thing I did was the cold air intake from americanmuscle.com improves air flow and sounds great, cheap too. Can't go wrong with a bama tuner, true dual exhaust, rims and wheels! That's the easy stuff at least.

I say start of with cai, or windstar intake, then a tune, than gears, next ported intakes, with Cam, and ported heads also dual exhaust, either high flow or off road

Well you cant have a cold air Intake and windstar at the same time lol
And tune up do you mean oil change and such or a tune

If you want a windstar from VAP then send an email to Steven at VAP immediately. Hes not going to be making them for long. First check out VAPAuto.com Otherwise you can make the kit yourself if youre crafty

This is from Steven: "I should be able to produce of few of these kits over the summer and this fall. In order to deal with the email requests I’ve been getting I’m going to ask everyone to fill out a pre-order form so I can better manage the orders.

If you could email the following form to windstar@vapauto.com I will be able to systematically fulfill each request as I am able to. This is not a binding agreement to buy, however I would ask that only those who are very serious about purchasing a Windstar kit send this in.

Windstar Kit Order Form

Name:

Car Year:

Notes:

Date of first Inquiry:

Please email only the above 5 lines of text in a new message sent to windstar@vapauto.com. Available kits will be sent out in the order of “first inquiry”. Please use the date that you first emailed me about the Windstar kit."

But again check out the website first that way you know what to expect for pricing. The price will likely be a bit lower because he is not doing the actual intake itself anymore but will be doing all the custom brackets and spacers to make the intake fit appropriately without having to cut the hood or anything like that.
