Got 29+ MPG out of my GT

I averaged 28 mpg on a trip to Houston and was really stoked about it. My city driving though has gotten terrible due to my driving habits but Honey Badger don't care. Didn't buy it for fuel efficiency.

Don't discount the usefulness of hookers.

It's actually cheaper to get one than to hire a professional for massage, therapy, or do your taxes.

I bought mine for the looks, sound, aftermarket, somewhat decent amount of power. The good mileage is just a plus. Although I have been tossing around the idea of an MK4 Jetta diesel as a new daily driver for a while. I really like to get into efficiency in general, whether it be power per mods, or fuel economy.

I'll ask that Izzy fellow how to get even better mileage out of a super-econo car like the Jetta TDI.

The highest I got on the freeway in my Mustang was about 18-19 mpg. City driving I usually get 6-8.

But I have 4.10's and pushing 300 rwhp all motor (stroker) and I can't keep my foot off of it SOOOOOOOOOOO yeah :)

He'll tell you he gets better fuel economy out of his 3.8 then you could ever dream of getting out of a small diesel... But then again, izzy isn't bound by our laws of "physics" and "science" :bubba

Best I have done is 34mpg, it was well over 400miles on a tank of gas. I had a 87 Octane gas saver tune from Breenspeed loaded up, after I installed my CMS cams I drove it close to 5hrs straight interstate @ 70mph in 5th gear with the Breenspeed tune to the Dyno for a final tune for the cams. I was pretty surprised, after the tune it gets about 25-27mpg's interstate (like 12mpg in town with me driving) on my 93 performance tune. When I go turbo I plan on getting another 87 octane gas saver tune.

These cars are efficient if done up right.

That is horrible.... My 70 cougar was getting better and believe me when I say that I drove the hell out of that car.

Mostly aggressive city driving?

Got a kid in my town who goes down my entire street (About a mile) in 1st gear, in a half-ass restored, automatic Chevelle SS clone, just to seek attention. The mechanical fan at over 3K RPM is louder than the damn exhaust. He must get about 6 MPG, all in the name of trying to turn heads. :lol

Not sure why he bothers. I feel annoying even when I go down my street in 2nd, at a hair under 2,500 RPM, and it's not loud. Usually in 3rd or 4th.
