Bout to head out to the garage and change the spark plugs. Only 40,000 miles on them just hoping I have a smooth time with them! Wish me luck and I'll return with my outcome!

Changed my rear brakes today. I bet that I'm not first person to say this and I'm sure as HELL not the last, but it was a pain in the ass! I guess it's because none of the part stores had any of the special piston tools, so I had to buy a universal 8 sided tool that connects to a 3/8" drive and it was rough!

Next time I'm going to spend the $150 and have the dealer do it. Haha

Took the headlights off then fully detailed it for ROTM pics

Cole whats the hardest thing you had to do on your car so far?
Knock on wood, but I haven't had any mechanical issues since I bought it. So the most extensive work as far as labor goes was probably installing the CMDP's. I've helped install longtubes, cams, superchargers and turbos on other 3V's though. Everything with these cars is pretty straight forward imo.

Whatcha getting at?

Holy **** none broke!!! WOOOOOO!!!! Can't tell you how happy I am. I'll have to post up some pics of the old ones.

Red why did you take the lights off???

Nice! I'm right at 36k and I want to do mine, but I'm gonna wait another 5k miles since I haven't been able to drive mine for the past 3 months. I bought the car certified pre-owned from Ford, so I would HOPE that the plugs got changed before I bought it, but I bought it with only 17k on the odometer so I have my doubts.

Glad you won't need the tool bud.

they didn't replace them. these plugs (iirc) are 100k miles between service. there would be no reason for them to change them at 17k miles. chances are better that most of the people will never actually need to change them unless your mods require it.

Good info. I figured as much, but I'd rather change them now when they only have 36k on the 2-piece design than deal with what others have gone through later on down the road. For under $100, there's a great deal of peace-of-mind value.
