Lol, MR pink is not a brakethrough in foaming technology lol.

The biggest factor that makes good foam is how much aeration happens, a soap that has alot of surface tension is necessary but the more pressure/gpm your pressure washer has makes a night and day difference in foam.

I get really nice foam with my 1800psi karcher. When i went to florida, i used a friends bigger gas powered pressure washer- Used my same foam lance, same soap, same dilution and the foam was VERY different, it was stickier and thicker because the higher pressure causes more turbulence and aeration of the soapy water mix. The more aeration you get, the "drier" the foam will look and thus be stickier.

The guy in the CG vid is using a pretty stout pressure washer, he could get the same foam using MS2, HD, CWG, any of their sudsy shampoos.

I like MS2, the only thing bad ill say about it is this, on the bottle it says to use it @ 1oz per gallon- I did this and it stripped the hell out of my wax, i use it @ 1oz per 3.5 gallons now and its ok, but im lookin now at getting a good slick soap that is milder in cleaning power. I wash once a week and my mach 1 doesnt see rain anymore so the only thing that will be on my car is light dust lol. Hard to beat ms2's price tho.

roger that. I have this
Shop Greenworks 1700 PSI 1.4 GPM Electric Pressure Washer at Lowes.com
Its been great this far. But gpm is kinda sketchy. I want more cleaning power. But don't want to fork out more money.

I have a pressure washer but no foam lance. :sorry That just maybe my next purchase. I may have to wait till spring, cause I spent way to much this weekend and the wife is starting to get annoyed on the amount of products I have "just wash the car" as she puts it. :lol

Mine is 1800@1.5 and too be honest, it cleans pretty dang well, its also very paint safe, its not gonna go blowing off solid healthy paint and you can get pretty close. I do want something a bit bigger in the future, but not much, something like 2000 or 2200psi @ a gpm in the low 2s, any more than that is kinda overkill lol.

OH MY GOD, she doesnt understand. Find some detailing to do for money, then reinvest the money you earn detailing back into detailing. Thats what i try to do. I did 2 jobs recently, 1 in August, and one in september. I ended up with 540 bucks in between the 2. About 3 or 4 more of those and ill cover the grand or more that i have invested into this hobby, lol.

If you earn the money detailing on the side, then you can buy whatever you want to with it :)

wash and clear is an incredible soap, I'll pick up a gallon of it eventually, I'd like to see dodo wash foamed, :dunno
Im looking into another soap, i want something pretty mild.

CG's Citrus daily wash is a contender. Thats similar or the same as wash and clear i believe. Idk they have so many damn soaps. lol.

I just might have to look into that. Could always use some extra cash. :baller:

I absolutely love my honeydew. I broke my foam gun last time I used it so I will not have any pictures and there is snow here these days so no more outside washes. Looks like eco, non-rinse washes for a while lol. I would like a foam lance for my pressure washer as well even though the mines only 1.3 gpm I would just really like to be able to use it.

how the hell did you break it. I just snapped the plastic neck on the bottle. But the brass itself?

I threw away the stupid part that broke or I would send you a picture of it, it was just a cheap one but I still have the bottle lol. Only reason i'm not upset is b/c it was a cheap one. It was pushing out foam so I tried to adjust it then when I tried to un-adjust it I broke a part in the plastic/feed part of the foam gun.

Get a real one if you can afford it. Like mtm i think i saw one going for 50 something. My foam cannon was 119 from ag
Shits expensive but its worth it. Especially if you already have corrected your paint

Working on correcting the paint as we speak ;). Do you not have to use a wash mitt if you have a nice cannon/lance? I see how ridiculously thick/sticky the foam is from CGs video's but do you still use a mitt?

Mostly friends and family, like my Girlfriends friends husbands brother...lol just bought a brand new Camaro SS convertible. They are gonna talk to him about doing his car, and about racing me lol.

Once i talk to someone about detailing and how paint should be protected and some of the things i can do, if they have the money they are pretty on board with getting their car taken care of, it really depends on the person, if someone doesnt car about their car, they thing spending 2-400 bucks on detail is insane, but people who car and want to protect their vehicle think its a great investment, which i agree with.

I can sell the non car people on the nano coating since its such a low maintenance paint protection.

I also do headlight restoration, which i have 2 pending right now, both coworkers, i saw their gross yellow headlights, i just tell them that i can fix it, explain to them that i charge the same as walmart but my job will last years, not 3-6 months, that usually does it. lol

Whoo thats pricey. well worth it if you keep your paint swirl free tho.

If your car is just dusty and hasnt been rained on you can probably get away with foaming your car and pressure washing it really well. But if anything is really stuck to your paint then just a foamjob wont get it off.

Now that my mach 1 will only ever be a little dusty, im considering doing "touchless" maintenance washes. Ive done it a couple times on my mach 1, the real advantage is 1-you cant swirl your paint, 2-It doesnt effect your LSP at ALL lol. Because their is no abrasive rubbing action to your wax.

Even then i would probably still hand wash every 3rd wash to help maintain a containment free clear coat.
