sorry to thread jack, would 315s fit, or whats the widest you would go on these rims? I know its a bad picture, but it is 11" from outside to outside

I wouldn't mind rolling my fenders and my 315s are on a 10.5in rim so I'm guessing you could run them on an 11? Could be wrong but I think you can. Anyone know if I could run 335s on mine?

yes, 315s would fit. smallest recommended rim is a 10.5

i looked at nittos, michelins and bf's OWN website for 315 measurements.
this is listed for "section / overall width" if theres a difference between them.
heres what i came up with, respectively...12.6(?pilot sport); 12.56(555); 12.40(g force t/a dr).
...looks like they are all comparable

My nt05r ran wider then just the nt05 so nitto size do change

Only pic I have the 315 nt05r

I have 315 Toyo TQ's and they're pretty wide. It's the only tire, that I could find, that's exactly 315/35r18 and not the 30 sidewalls.
They hooked good with Full Exhaust, we'll see if they hook after the cams and tune are on it.

I found a picture that shows how much wider the R888 tire runs in comparison to other tires.
This is a picture of an R888 in a 305 and a M/T street radial 2 in a 315.
Both tires pictured are mounted on a 10.5" wheel.

What is the widest tire that will fit my 17x9's
275/40-17s. The wheels pictured without tires were 10" wheels not 10.5. you measure from the inside not the outside. That is why someone asked if they were 18" wheels. I've run two sets of 315s. Sumitomos and Nittos. Sumitomos were wider. Just over 12" if I recall. The Nitto 555Rs in my garage run just over 11.5". Sumitomos suck. I much prefer the smaller Nitto tire.

But if all you are going for is looks then buy the cheap Sumitomo tire.
