I guess the clear coat is cracking all over. Poor car.
Some punk at work asked me if someone had a knife fight over my roof.....:bash: shut the F*** up dork, you drive a minivan.

I was still in a cleaning mood so i took the wife's steamer and removed the rear cloudy, nasty, window tint.

Yeah, if I find the owner of that particular Mach1, i'll be sure to tell him. BTW while i have ya tuned in, I heard that cutting into the clear coat like I've seen you doing in other threads, makes the paint fade easier cuz the clear becomes so thin, and you have to wax the car a lot more often because its not protected as much... what is your opinion?
thats not true at all, clearcoat is clearcoat, as long as theres still a layer of clear there it will behave the same way, heavy compounding usually only removes up to 1000-1500 grit sandpaper, so you can imagine it as not being too abrasive and thats the heavy cut, after your initial compounding its more than likely you'll only ever need a medium to light polish to follow up with which is 2500 grit + in sandpaper terms (probably higher iirc)
also if you don't like waxing often, an awesome sealant that has incredible looks and durability is blackfire wet diamond paint protection, easy application off, let haze 30 minutes and you're protected for 6 months :yes

thats not clearcoat failure, its clearcoat damage, it honestly looks like crows feet but that wouldn't make much sense because iirc thats only a single staged paint problem

I have considered plasti dipping the Hood scoop and roof... but they both shine/reflect pretty well and I like the shine alot. The two other reasons I don't want to are 1. I think the black hood scoop looks like it's cheap or unfinished and 2. My roof has a couple dime sized dents where kids threw rocks at it 2 days before I picked it up from the last owner :bash:
The car looks pretty good from 5 feet away, the pic I took is just a really captured view.
Next time you find yourself near Vegas.. you are welcome to drop by and work your magic :) :)

You can get gloss black vinyl pre-cut for our roofs.

That would be cool, but i still think the dents in the roof would be hard to wrap over.

I got most of the tint off the back window...needs dark tint now
