Vader I'm not hating at all, but, why does him having a name for all his pictures make him a poser? I've never seen him claim he's a pro photographer, maybe he just likes the little name in the corner. I mean, I take pictures with my phone all the time and post them, if I put "Stevey's photos" or something in the corner would you call me a poser? Once again not hating at all I like you both just fine.
Because its a tagging with a name to make it as if its a studio doing the photos. Its just way to try to make sound like a pro when really not.
its one thing if the photos are really good. Wouldnt bother me. But these are not

I 100% agree with the matte black. I bought the one from AM and am happy I did. Eventually I'd like to have it painted.

How it was the day I drove it home:

Blurry and Wet after I put the vinyl on, I opt'd not to do the sides behind the badges because I didn't want that much black:

Also I was able to stretch the vinyl down so you can't see any yellow on the underside.
Im gonna do all the way from tail light to tail light. And since im plastidip spraying it, i can just use a razor blade to peel the dip off the decals once everything is dried. Im also just gonna take the trunk all the way off most likely, tape everything off really nice and neat, spray a couple coats, once its dried, cut a bead on the back of the decals with a razor blade and peel the dip off the decals. My ford emblem isnt blue, its black, so it should look really good all done.

Yours looks really good shook, go all the way across, it would look even better!

I am not a fan of the entire trunk being black. Lot's of pics of them on AM on the product page and I just don't like it. It's too much, IMO.

You could go to a vinyl place and just get vinyl super cheap. I am not the biggest fan of plastidip. I don't like the texture of it.

On any other color i would agree, its alot of black back there, but on MY car remember its not a change in color, its just a change in finish. Matte against Gloss, and my tails are smoked too so i think itll look good. Also remember, my mach 1 already comes from the factory with this color scheme lol, so itll just match the hood and side stripes

This is a black new edge mustang with smoked tails and plastidip sprayed where i want it, looks good. I also have the chrome letters on my bumper but im gonna take those off soon(or plastidip them to match). After looking at alot of vinyl and pd pics, Plastidip seems to be more matte, vinyle is a bit satin. PLUS 1 bottle of plasti dip is 8.50 the decal is 50 lol.

Ive been thinking about blacking out my badgets, but i think ill just do the decklid, the chrome emblems kind of match the wheels.

EDIT HOLY CRAP: I found a better picture, this is perfect because im wingless :)

Yeah man, that's what i'm saying. Going all the way across on mine IMO looks meh. I like the Matte black against the gloss.

The decal is a lot more b/c it's from AM. Any vinyl shop can give you a cut of vinyl to fit that for like 15 bucks. I just don't like the texture of plastidip. I did my truck grill with that stuff and it looks good but the texture is not smooth as I had expected it would be.

When you get up close in person the texture is a lot different than it looks in this picture.

On yours, i agree, too much black against the yellow, gets a little tacky looking, i like the way you did your plate housing, looks good. But on black i like the matte, the biggest reason i wanna do it is because its a mach 1 thing, the whole matte black accent.

I get what you are saying, I have a can of PD spray that i bought today, been messin around with it, its very rubbery in texture, Ill look into the vinyl but i just like the fact that with the plastidip is more matte, AND i can get perfect coverage, dont have to worry about bubbles and peeling PD off is probably easier than getting vinyl adhesive off.

Im kinda still debating on it, if i dont do the whole back panel, im gonna do my mach 1 emblem on the back, i think that would be cool.

I sprayed my craftsmen 2ft breaker bar handle with it, did 1 coat, waited about 20 mins, threw on a second coat, looks good and added a nice grippy surface to it lol. I kinda love the stuff.

I want to remove my steel bumper letter inserts, i think im gonna need a heat gun to release the sticky, i kinda want the back to be less flashy more clean sinister.

I don't even know where this thread went after page 2....LOL.

Mach and Shook, I ordered a matte black vinyl for the bottom of my rear bumper, I had it on both the decklid between the tails and the bottom of the bumper and took it off after about a year and a half because it turned grey.

Heres a picture before...

and after...

and what it will look like in a few more days...

PS: I got a low stance...

Welcome to this Forum ;). . . We tend to trail off from time to time.

Very nice. They look so bland with no color contrast on the rear end lol. I like just the bottom valance too.

MMH COILOVERS :drool

Im actually going to get close to your stance with springs, i have sportlines right now and im about to take the isos out which should give me another 1/2 inch or so.

I like the idea of vinyl, but i like PD idea more, i think its gonna look more like its panted matte(cause it kinda will be lol)

Im also doing some experimenting at the moment, since PD is rubber, i wanna see if a rubber dressing may darken it and help it release water, also going to experiment with sealants and waxes, see what the reaction is, im just curious, lol.

Do it and let me know. I have PD before but I ripped the corner off one day and took it off. Decided to just order the lower valence piece in vinyl so I don't have to worry about it.

I addicted to getting low though...gonne spin the COs down a few more threads....:) It's not rubbing right now, so I have a little more left in it.

AM has a matte black vinyl decal for my bodystyle, but its 50 bucks.

I figure for not much more i can spray it with plastidip and get 100% coverage and a "painted" look that isnt permanent, im also thinking about doing my hood strip this way too.
For 50 I would go the PD as well.

Looks good, just the right amount of black. To much and you will start looking like those stupid bumble bee Camaros.

Have to treat the vinyl. Use UTTP or CG Meticuloius Matte Detailer.

Well i probably wouldnt do wheels or anything like that, but PDing over paint is super easy and if you dont like it, rip it right off, lol.

If i dont like the rear part PD, then ill take it off and PD my mach 1 emblem and call it done.

For 50 I would go the PD as well.

Perple how do you feel about my idea? matte black on black, i know youre a fain of that color scheme.

mach hasnt been washed it FIVE WEEKS. (Just a little dusty tho :) )

Perple man, i forgot how pretty your 6er was.

Im spraying my rear decklid today after i wash the mach.

Then getting a heatgun to try to get the steel letters off the bumper.
