Purchased some Flowmaster 40's on Thursday from fellow MM'er 00blkvert. Not sure when I'm going to put them on hopefully it's soon though lol.

Original 40's? Everyone craps on flows but they sound the best IMO. I'm just not a fan of the rasp and for their price, they sound good to me.

I hope you like them. Some people do, some people don't. The original 40s have an almost unbearable drone between 1800-2200 rpm. If you don't drive there much then you will like them. If you drive at that rpm for may 45 minutes you will understand fairly quickly why they are hated. The Flowmaster drone. I remember a post a couple of years ago. A guy with them posted "My ears are about to explode." He took about a 500 mile trip with them.
I drive longer distances on the interstate. I put up with Flowmaster 40s for 2 years. I just couldn't stand it anymore. I had them cut out and replaced them with Magnaflows. I'm much happier now and Magnaflows are a straight through muffler. No restriction.
Sometimes people confuse drone with loudness. It is not. A drone doesn't have to be loud. It's a resonating vibration that comes from the muffler that just kills your ears. At the tailpipe Magnaflows have been test to be 92 decibles same as Flowmasters. They just don't kill your ears.
I have always thought that the ideal muffler was one that was loud to those standing on the curb and not to those in the cab. If you really want to appreciate your car, listen to it as it drives away. (My son borrowed my car a couple of times.)

No. I have offset Magnaflows. The offset doesn't mean it has baffles. Unlike Flowmasters, there is a pipe that goes straight through it with no obstructions. I wish I had saved the link to the decibles. It is eye opening. There is like a range from 91-94 decibles, thats all, yes I said all, aftermarket performance mufflers fall into to. They really don't have to kill your ears to be loud to someone one curb. Their design makes a hugh difference.
So with Magnaflows I got the same curb sound, more flow, and less cab drone.
Edit: (Sorry I alway think of something I didn't say.) With Flowmasters I started hating my car. I was reluctant to drive it. It was killing my ears. Magnapacks were not an options. I thought of them as more of the same. I was going to put stock mufflers back on the car but a couple of muffler shops changed my mind. I had an opportunity to talk to a big muffler shop in Indianapolis. I told the manager my problem. He suggested Magnaflow. He told me he replaces SLP and Flowmasters all the time. It seem everyone wants to drive a loud car until they have to drive a loud car all the time. He said he always recommended Magnaflows and no one ever brought back.
Later I learned that Magnaflows had the same decible rating as Flowmaster 40s. I almost didnt' believe it until I heard my car drive away when my son borrowed it. It had the same tone. You do not have to kill you ears to have a good sounding car.

I have 40's on mine now with a SC. While the car is parked for the winter, just bought me a SLP LM1... id love to get it re-tuned, but for just changing exhaust thats a waste of money lol. Well see how it feels though!

They sound great but after a while you get tire of the drone specially when you drive a 30 min. round trip 4 days a week. I have them with an o/r h pipe. Love the sound but might switch to a different setup later on.

Thanks, T-Lee. I also noticed that Magnaflows were #5 for horsepower and Flowmasters #15 (although its only a couple of horses).

it's hit or miss with people. I love my slp's but flows aren't to bad. Personally, like the sound of flow 10's the best. but to each his ownnnnn
