Only thing I'm still confused about it whether ill be gaining boost or loosing it, so I'm not sure which way to go with my pullies.

Exactly Bob which is why my new intercoler will flow 1400 cfm vs the 750 cfm my current intercoller flows there is alot left on the table or am I looking at this wrong.

My understanding is you always want more horsepower at less boost since the air charge will be cooler as a direct result of not spinning the unit up as fast.

The low flowing cxracing has a low cfm rating and is not as efficient at cooling at your upper range. You have a higher pressure drop requiring you to spin the unit more.

Place the higher flowing less restrictive treadstone in and you will see more boost. Change pullies to lower the boost back down and due to temperature reductions you will likely make more power at same boost level. You may be able to put more timing in it as well.

Same was true with my old turbo car. 21psi on a small turbo pushed to its max produced far less power than a larger turbo at the same psi but only at 50% of its max output. Temps were way down so timing went up.

Those cooler air temps really make a difference, Im pretty excited to see the results when I get time and weather to make this happen.

You need to hurry the hell up and get this done. Before the temp get higher then :stickpoke I like to see the comparison from cxracing to threadstone as to what comparison I did with procharger I/C.

Lol I know it will be an awesome comparison.

Better yet, how about taking this beast to the track and getting some real numbers and stop racing dyno's. Pate, I will meet you at Beech Bend any Saturday for test and tune. It will be a fun day for sure.

If you want to run 9's more than once in your vert have you priced your car/chassis upgrades yet? Prob 3k in that alone. Sorry if its been brought up. Didn't read all the pages

I agree!

Nothing against you Pate, I have some friends that do the same thing. Try to keep making it faster (on the dyno) and then race it. Why not just race it, try to get the best out of that setup. Mod it, then race it again.

How's he going to run at the track in a vert with no cage? 13.49 and under in a vert needs a 6pt cage minimum, but you guys know that.

Uhm put a cage in it? lol.

From his "removable hard top" thread.

Get a cage instead
Not going to happen, maybe a roll bar but a cage is not happening. I want about 700RWHP, a hard top, then end of story on the VERT. I already got the intercooler, and I have another transcooler, and a couple other parts in route. I have also already started working with Kurgan on my new DD street car that ill be buying when things calm down and im home enough to shop, work, and enjoy it. I have also started restoring my FOX Body as well so looks like 3 projects going on at once

I'll be in the same boat. No more track til I get a cage.

Edit: damn ninja's. No fair, I'm at work. :bash:

I thought he said he wanted to run it at the track? Maybe 1/8 mile then?

What about during track rentals? Are they still required to inforce NHRA rules?
