Alright I have yet another ? i hate asking again and again but this is the BEST site for answers especially with no one bitching....no joke. But anyway do any of you ARH owners have any loud cabin noise by dash and right under center console? Its like a loud roaring, im not sure if its suppose to be like that or if i dont have clamps tightened enough (tightened with 3/8 snapon cordless impact). Also anyone have any rubbing stuff like curbs with lowered mustang with long tubes? I thought about making up some hangers to add on to exhaust to help lift it because it sits real low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If it is a ticking noise it is an exhaust leak but it just sounds like your not used to the tone the headers put out. Double check any shielding/insulation around your shifter. If it is non existent or damaged it could cause the exhaust note to enter the cabin at an unwanted decibal. Your gonna hear them a bit, they're headers.

As far as the scraping, are you lowered at all? Gotta remember that the exhaust was designed and fitted on a car at OEM ride height. They are going to hang lower than your stock exhaust did, that's just kinda the nature of beast. My collectors have some pretty good raspberries on them from skidding across asphalt. You don't want to pull your exhaust from it's naturally hanging position. The pipes should all be hanging free before you tighten everything down. If you pull the headers up tight with some sort of hanger, it is going to put a lot of stress on the head flanges and welds. This can lead to premature leaking and actual cracked headers.

I'm going to tighten the clamps again to make sure that's not the problem when I first put them on I had a bad rattle on my cat back pipe that goes to mufflers that was hitting brace and muffler was hitting bumper so I loosened it and pushed it around and now it does nothing but there's a rattle from one of my flow master mufflers so I think a baffle broke. After I installed the long tubes everything seemed to go bad and now I have codes that I hope bama can fix

My mustang has a frpp handling kit

What codes are you throwing?

They're long tubes so an elevated cabin noise is going to be heard. I have ARH but not sure by what you mean by a roaring sound. As far as scraping, I haven't had any issues with curbs or speed bumps even on a 1.5" drop like I have but the headers are tucked. I'll scrape other parts of the car before my long tubes touch.

What do you mean your headers are tucked? I didn't think there was a way of doing that and all long tubes just naturally hung about 1 1/2" to 2" lower? Don't wanna thread jack, just curious.

The fitment on them has them tucked into the frame rails. I didn't mean I actually tucked them. They don't hang any lower than the factory exhaust did.

ARH are true long tubes
Yes they are true long tubes not mid length that's one reason why I bought them instead of kooks I believe they are the only brand that is actual full length headers

That would not be my deciding factor I have 0 clearance issue with kooks and make as much power as arh.

Aren't arh a mid length like the kooks shouldent be any scrapeing issues.
Primary length shouldn't make a difference in how low they hang. It's the overall design.

My Pacesetters are long tubes.

Primary length has more to do with where the power is made in relation to the peak number. It shapes the torque curve.

Bought them coated from pacesetter. I took these a couple months ago to show someone else. This is after 4 years and probably 45K miles.

From above.

From down below, inside the wheel well where they should be the most effed up. But they look like the second day I had them on the car.

Mind you I do live in the high desert. It's pretty tough to make **** rust up here.

That's too bad. Not sure on climate conditions there but you might have to look into stainless ones.

And sorry bro, but I didn't even look at the screen name. Zoomed the view on my phone and your name was off the screen. Was just answering an inquiry, without any bias or prejudice to whom I was speaking.

I live in Vegas too remember this. But I am about to move to New Jersey in the winter.
Where in jersey are you moving? I lived there got a few years before joining the navy so could give you an idea. Inland Jersey's climate is actually really nice. Not too humid for most of the year. There are alot of rivers that run through the whole state, but the salt isn't too terrible. By the shore however, salt will be your worst enemy.
