Got some serious love from some ladies this evening after a wedding that LOVED the sound and then I did a quick 1-3 pull and it was all "OMGZ". Made me feel good since I've been considering selling it to get this old bagged LS1 Chevy C10 I saw on Craigslist and a POS DD. The car is now worth more than I owe on the loan, so that feels good, too.

I've also been eyeing this V3 kit recently...and a 6060/aluminum DS swap...

I've had the car for two years and done a lot of work on it, and I'm afraid I'm just getting bored. Or maybe it's the 3k-3.5k vibration that Ford says was normal that's killing me.

I'll see once I'm in Nashville and can get a second opinion. If I could just get rid of my odd noises I'd be psyched enough with that.

Ordered 2012 GT takeoff rotors and calipers/ brackets... Then realized they wont fit with the stock rims

It wasn't today but it was Thursday/Friday but I went out and autocrossed my car at the National Championship Solo event here in Lincoln Nebraska. I placed 53rd of 59 in class which sounds awful to the uneducated but when you factor in that I am in a car that is NOT competitive for the class and it's my first autocross Championship event, I don't think that is too bad! I wasn't dead last and that was all I was trying to be! :)

Anyway, the after action report, with videos, has a link that can be found in my signature! :) Enjoy reading!

You'll regret it, I always do the same thing with cars haha. That's why I'm building this one slow. Supercharger could make for less boredom :D I've only owned my car for a 2 months and I'm bored as can be of having it be stock. But I've got a CAI, tuner, and longtubes going on this week to remedy that ;)

What vibration are you talking about? does it come from the dash/shifter/stereo area? If so I'm gonna stab a child, I thought mine was maybe due to my recent stereo install. Could be those blingin' 20's you're rollin on that make the ride rough and give you vibes ;) but seriously I want 20's haha

Definitely not the wheels. The vibration came on after the rear end was rebuilt under warranty. Pretty certain it's the driveshaft. I do have a whirring/vibration noise coming from the trans area, but the thing shifts great and strong so I'm not going to worry about it. I just shop around for TR6060s and if I can score one for a good price then I'll just grab it and save up for the DS.

I checked in the trans peek-hole thing and everything looks good in there, so I'm not going to worry about it. It's just NVH stuff and although it's annoying, it's not hurting anything either.

As far as 20s, I love them, but I wish I'd gone with a 40 sidewall at least in the rear. It's not harsh like a rubber and tire, but a little more meat couldn't hurt.

See I'm actually looking for less meat, the 295s with the 45 sidewall I have are killin me I can just feel how heavy they are. I'm lookin at getting 285/40/18 if I keep my american racing wheels..

Well getting 20s certainly won't cut down on how heavy they are. You gotta realize that you're adding 2" of [whatever metal] and removing 2" of air and rubber. They're definitely heavier— no doubt about that, but my car hasn't seen the track so it's not a huge concern for me.

Almost done with the detailing this weekend. Here it is after some Meguiars 105 and Menzerna 4000. After will be Chemical guys EZ Creme and Blackfire sealant topped with either Chemical guys 50/50 or Petes 53

Damn, man. Your car gives me the most ferocious erection.

Yeah for that reason alone I'll probably stick to 18's, plus tires are like half the cost and there are more options.

I've never ran auto-x but would running windows up help at all due to drag? It looks like your windows down from pictures.
We are talking less than 70 MPH here so I don't think there is that much drag associated with the windows down. We are required to have them down for safety reasons. There isn't anything to hit out there but should the car start on fire (it's happened before) on track you need a quick and easy way to get out of the car if the door jams.

The car itself is reasonably stable at speed, the limitation on tire size and wheel size sucks the performance capability right out of the car which is at least partially why I don't do that well in the class I race in Nationally. Not a huge deal, I do this for fun too. If you click on the link in my signature there are Youtube videos you can watch of the car running at speed on course.

I put a set of these on my car about 1300-1500 miles ago. I am really impressed with wet traction with these tires compared to the stock pirelli's.
That's good to hear i was mainly looking for more wet traction after getting them i dont think they will fit up front i have to wait to get the wheels here to fit them

Drove mine to work.... Like I own it. Under 2000 rpms the whole way.

Damn whiskey, that looks like a blast. I did the Ecoboost challange this weekend at cowboys stadium that Ford puts together. It was a blast. I want a Fiesta ST just for the back roads now.
