Didn't think I would scrape, Sides me cutting mine I have nothing invested into it except for the angle grinder i had bought many months back just for this :p

So far the fronts are done, really not to bad to do compared to the Lincoln Mark VIII I had that was a royal pain to do.

I got the old engine out today, was waiting on a hydraulic line for a tractor since the car is on gravel the hoist wouldnt cut it, but anyways heres the carnage pics!

So Cylinders 3 and 6 both flung rods, the rod from #6 or #3 found its way into #5
More pics are here

YESSS!!!!! Ive been waiting for those pics.

You done good sir, great work!

Love the rod in cyl 5 still has the wrist pin intact. piston pieces EVERYWHERE

I'm thinking that there was a bit more mileage on the engine then what the odometer read out, almost all of the bearings you can see copper on except for the mains.

On the bright side is, I always wanted to make a coffee table from an engine block and now I got the chance to lol

^^^funny you should say that. i cracked my oil pan crossing some train tracks last year, i went home cleaned it up with a drummel. i made the hair line crack into a slight v-groove then jb welded that bad boy...been dry since.
i have a spare pan if ever it fails...but i am still hopeful.

Spent today stripping down the long block to just a bare block, this is everything that got busted up (that I could find still! haha)
dont mind the stud in the pic it just got misplaced in the wrong pile of junk :p
