I plugged the unit into the plug under the dash. AND IT ASKED FOR THE TUNE OCTANE I WANTED, 91 Is what I put then hit select. THEN THE UNIT WENT OFF AND DID NOT COME BACK ON.. :wtf :wtf :wtf . WHAT IS UP????? HELP

ALSO I PUT THE CERVINI'S SIDE EXHAUST ON THE CAR with the Pyes OR/H pipe, AND TO ME IT SOUNDS LIKE GLASS PACKS :wtf ,, GURGGLY AND OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD (Cervini's MUFFLERS are NOT made by Magnaflow anymore but ARE NOW MADE BY PYPES) 14" Polished just like the Magnaflows but say Cervini's made by Pypes.<<>>WILL IT TONE DOWN? At the Red light it has everyones attention. I heard it aprox 1/4 mile away this evening.
My biggest downer to the exhaust is it sounds like a truck with Glass packs and that isn't what I was going for. I obviouslly need side exhaust because of the Cervini's side skirts but thought it might sound a little Deeper tone and not as Loud. Any other suggestions or am I stuck.?

Do you have cats. Maybe batterys on tunner went dead.
ORH PIPE

Your tuner is powered by the OBD 2 connector,Usually the dome light fuse or the lighter fuse run power to the connector,If the fuses are good and you have power to the OBD 2 connector,Then I would investigate the tuner. Can't help with exhaust question.

Thanks for the replies. OK I checked the fuses/dome light all working and OK. Made sure the unit is Plugged in properly. Still not working. I can't open the unit to check the batteries as there is a lable that if I open it voids the warranty<<<>(Sucks)

If I put the stock Catted H Pipe back on will that definatly lower the tone or not by much>??

just put on high flow cats on ur h now.. and it runs off the car.. maybe theres a malfunction of some sort...

are u getting power when u plug it in now?

car off plug it in.

if not thenmaybe 1 of the pins are ****ed up.. if not then call who u bought the x cal from.

dont know about the tuner, but your stock h pipe will quiet it down alot until u invest in high flow cats

When I first got my sct livewire from american muscle, it did the same thing as yours, wouldn't run a tune. called the tech at american muscle, he said sometimes the dealer changes the tune to not coincide with the computer code on the computer( the four letter code on the outside of the computer itself). he emailed me a new tune and i downloaded it into my tuner and everything works great. Just my experience but you might call the tech where you got your livewire. hope it helps.... :dunno

UPDATE::: I spoke with Dave at Brenspeed. (stand up guy) They are sending me a replacement tuner overnight and I will send the malfunctuning unit back.
Great customer service<<<<<<

As you know from our discussions before you got the exhaust Im running long-tubes, prochamber, and the cervini exhaust ( magnaflow ). I wouldnt compare my car to a truck with glass packs, but it is definitally loud. Mine has a nice rich deep tone to it. I will try to get some sound clips up for you so you can compare. Shoot Emay a PM as well. He has LTs, unknown midpipe, and the same side pipes as me. He could probably do the same so you can figure out what you need to get you car sounding like you want it to...

Tassy, I have the magnaflows as well, just like fast does. I haven't heard this new pypes set up you mention yet. My car sounds great to me, took a little getting used to at first with the exhaust in your basically because of the side exit. Mines fairly deep, incredible at WOT.

I have the Kooks Long tubes and Kooks high flow catted X pipe. I'll never change it, I'm that stoked with the sound..

Here's a burnout clip... ignore the blow off valve which tends to draw your attention more than the exhaust at times:

Hey Tassy, who did you get your side exhaust through, I know you said that its cervinis kit, but did you get it through someone other than cervinis. I was just talking with my contact ( Jamie ) over at cervinis checking on an order ( vert tonneau cover ), she said they are still running magnaflow exhaust for their kits. I had her double check for me and she confirmed it. She didnt know anything about using pypes... If a new midpipe doesnt fix your exhaust you might want to try a supercharger, that will definitally change your exhaust note... Hope this helps...

OK Here we go. That sounded awesome.<<<< NOTHING LIKE MINE<<<I am telling you all there is a definate difference in sound. I have been a Mustang owner/ enthusiest for many many years. Maybe it is just the Pypes Mufflers but it is Annoying/Monsterous/LOUD<<> The video of your car sounded like what I expected them to sound like per the Cervini's web site and You Tube videos I have watched> It isn't<<. So Hopefully by putting on the Stock H Pipe with Converters It will quiet the car down to a Muscle Car sound rather then a GLASS PACK SOUNDING MUSTANG. The sound does not fir the car. If any one knows where I can purchase the Original Magna Flow mufflers that Cervini's was using, Let me know and I will go that direction.

no, stock manifolds with the Pypes O R H pipe. I am putting the stock Converter H Pipe back on Tuesday. If I step on the Gas everyone looks. TOO Much attention. I like it to a degree but with the Cops in my area I am bound for problems.
