Alright, so yesterday I changed my fuel filter for the first time. 2005 with 20K miles and mostly stop and go traffic since I live only 2 miles from work.

First minute out on the road she just felt like a rocket! Does a new fuel filter really help that much or am I just crazy? Maybe it's like when I was 7 and got new shoes and claimed they made me run faster.

Either way...I got to brag that I can change my own fuel filter! :D

Cars are always quicker when the engine is cool. That's why drag racers cool their **** down between runs. It's also why your car will run stronger in cool dry weather.....like up here in Canada.

Suckers!! :lol
'cept when Zips asshole deep in snow. :p

I'm talking about engine temps. And not when it's completely cold. It runs better and stronger when it's not completely hot, which is why drag racers cool **** down between passes. :)

I know... but since my transmission needs to warm up... it eventually equals to the car running better while its hot since I can't really push it if its cold :p

Yeah, thought it might be in my head a lil bit...but yesterday was the first time I've gotten to jack up my car and use my new floor jack and jack stands :woot Now it's time to get cracking on painting calipers...maybe those will make me go faster too....

must agree with Zip...I took by baby out today to test the new gear set...-2 celcius here today....felt like a rocket....also shaky...flat spots on tires i think.
